I am also waiting for 2nd line/MR update.
application date is 14july2014, per on 10 nov 2014.
ECAS shows Line 1 as we have started processing your req....Nothing else updated yet.

I guess this is a true test of paitence...Lets do that and hope for the best..

Wanted to share that my ECAS just changed to "In Process". I haven't received PER mail yet but i guess that's fine.

P.S. I had called CIC and received my UCI 3 weeks back

There is no harm in applying for express entry. Because if you got selected in express entry your application will be processed much faster. Whereas if you couldn't get selected in express entry your already submitted application will continue to be processed. Means there is no harm in trying your luck in both places.

A friend of mine got his visa 2 weeks ago. He received a phone call from CIO telling he still cannot land in Canada. Have you seen such thing before? Any idea?

Sorry to hear this unfortunate news. And It is extremely surprising and strage. Could you please post more details about him that what CIO has informed.

Hi,

I received my PER on December 2, but haven't heard anything from my visa office after that. It is now almost 50 days which is more than the average time between PER and MR for CPC-Ottawa. I called CIC customer care, but they said they couldn't provide any status update. I would like to send an email to CIC to confirm if my file has been transferred to CPC-Ottawa.

Could someone please let me know the email address to contact CIC and what information I need to provide them to lookup my file.

NEED HELP!

My cousin had one year of Work permit. The work permit ended on Sept 31st. Her work permit extension request was rejected. The time it took for the rejection to come in, she was still in Canada saying she has "applied status". She even got a letter from the govt that she has 3 months to do something or go home by Dec31st.

She then applied for PR on Dec 28th. Now my question is that would she be considered "legal" in Canada. She has not heard back from CIC yet. No AOR nothing.

She is assuming that she can still stay in canada because she has "applied status".


I just want to know if it is right. I do not want her to be living in her dreams.

Her "implied status ends the day she received her work permit extension rejection letter n then she gets 3 months restoration period which ended in december n she shld have left canada by then..she is overstaying in canada now n it will affect negatively on her pr application..hope it helps!!

I think ur and his NOCs are not hot NOCs so they are slow.... if they say ur file is in process in email, you are good... lets seniors confirm

I think it is warm...Lol...... It would be almost full (1000 applications) by end of Dec so mostly everybody who applied in 2131 will get through.....

You are definitely okay because u r before me and I have been charged and my ECAS has been updated to 'In Process'
