I need some guidance in deciding the right category for myself.

I have done Mechanical Engineering from an Indian university.

In work experience, i have 3 yrs of experience in technical field + 5 yrs of experience in Purchasing.

Can somebody suggest which category i should apply for..?

Do they consider the category based on degree OR experience..?

Indian Applicants who need copy of IELTS,

Guys it is very much possible to get a copy of IELTS. You need to fill up form for request for additional TRF (google the form), show them the proof that you have applied for previous Fsw and did not get back your package that had original score and need to pay INR 1750/-. Talk to their call center and follow with them madly. make all noises. even threaten them to sue quoting the URL that mentions that it is their own policy to issue additional TRF for CIC. Make all right noises and you will definitely get it.

considering the fact that booking a closer test date is difficult, please try hard for additional TRF.

So what would be the proof? Does the DHL receipt suffice?

One more question regarding the points for work experience.

I have 3 yrs of experience which is close to role of Mechanical engg.. subsequent 5 yrs of experience is in purchasing..

If i apply under Purchasing Manager category, do i get full 15 points as the total experience is more than 6 yrs..? or they consider only 5 yrs exp?

I have already sent the documents to WES fo ECA report. The status is still waiting for documents.. Can i change the delivery address at this time..?

The current delivery address is for India and i want to change it to Malaysia where i currently reside.. Will it be a problem?

You can change your address in your WES account without any problem before the evaluation has been completed.

since i live in Australia. so far, they haven't received it, as it has a tracking number. i'm freaking out, what is going on?

Hi Ack1990,

Was there anything wrong with the BC that you got from the IC in Houston? You have cleared the first hurdle and I dont think you need to worry anymore on this!!

All data on BC is based on entries of passport.

You can change your address in your WES account without any problem before the evaluation has been completed.

I hope that i can change address at "Change Contact Information" session in My account @ WES site.. Will they charge any additional money for that.?

it could be because you sent it to the PO BOX address and you only send it there if you used regular mail. if via courier, you should have sent it here:

If you sent your application via regular mail then sending it to the PO Box address you mentioned initially is fine..yet normally this option would not give you proper real time tracking of your package...If on the other hand you DO have a tracking number then it might just be updated slowly especially considering that this is regular mail not one of the well known global courier services like FedEx or UPS etc...

You can try to contact the company you used to ship your application of course and inquire about its status.

Also note that you will not receive any notification from CIC once they do recieve your application. ..The only evidence of any action from their part is of course once your CC or DD has been charged. .

Hi! I think since you have used PO Box in the address, they will just drop it there and there's most likely no confirmation aside from checking online. However, if you have used a courier service and sent it to:

You will usually receive or able to track online if it's been received and at the same time check the name of the person who received it including the date and time it was received. If it's registered mail, and still doesn't show "delivered" status online, try calling your local post office to verify if it was successfully delivered.

Just a question, did you take up AHSE before Nursing?

No.. Since my school only recommends AHSE if you have failed grades in your nursing course. Then if you passed the AHSE program, you will have a chance to go back to the nursing program.

But I am thinking that the first 2 years of my nursing program is the "AHSE" program, you need 4 years to complete nursing btw.
