Hello,
I applied for 2173 software engineers and designers category and my application reached on 13th August 2014. But so far I didn't receive any sort of confirmation from CIO. I took DD for application fee (as many not recommended CC), I checked with bank and confirmed that DD, which I took on 9th August 2014, is not en-cashed yet. According to Reserve Bank of India guidelines any DD is valid only for 3months so the DD is stale now.
But some agents are telling that CIC/CIO will have some additional privileges who can extend the validity of DDs. Is it true? If so, do I still having hopes for getting positive response from CIO?

Can some one help me and suggest how can I proceed further? By the way, I sent e-mail to CIO requesting the application status but haven't get any reply yet.

Does anyone from Pakistan who filed application in 2014, received request to submit passport(s)? What method they ask to submit it?

I have received my request and they told me to courier in Abu Dhabi or come in person there to submit passport(s) and other documents.

Btw, how do we write infos about our application on left hand side of comments?

1. We received your application for permanent residence on September 26, 2014.

How long will it take to have PER? kindly suggest....

The wait is almost over and 2015 is already in motion.
