Hey guys,

Hope you guys are doing fine. Just an update from my side which I thought I should give.

Just returned from Goa. Checked my email and saw that CIC had replied to my query dated 1st Nov on 24th Dec. The email says that my application was recd by them on 20th Oct (though my courier tracking says that application was recd by DAN on 2nd Sept). The email further says that my application is under initial processing.

I had honestly lost all hope for PER, as there has been no status on my application, but looking at this email, I am really happy, though effectively, my application is delayed by around 48 days.

Will get back to the forum in 2-3 days time.

dear brother.sorry to hear abt the case happened to u.on the other side i suggest u r lucky as well.keep hopes alive and pray all went well.

can u plz update us which courier company u used? do u think of puting a complaint at courier company??

send cic new payment form with cover letter describing all details and also email them regarding blocking of ur cc and courier tracking number s of new payment form they will attach it with ur file do it as early as possible because i also did it and got reply from cic

Thanks gor your reply. Can i use a debit card which belongs to my brother to pay for the application? Or should it be the principal applicant's credit card only ?

@ pradhan12, if you didn't mention her visa refusal, that will be seen as a misrepresentation of information and punishable by a rejection of your application and a ban of 2 years from Canada if caught. I have a friend who didn't understand that question and didn't mention a US visa refusal, but on realization of his mistake, he raised a CSE with the VO in charge and they asked him to submit and updated for IMM5669E and his application is currently being processed, they do appreciate honesty. Kindly do same to avoid any heartaches in the future.

+1 for correct suggestion. Honesty is the best policy.

For you, conservatively take it as 65 days from received day. So send additional doc at the earliest.

If your bother's Debit Card is international one, have foreign currency account against the Debit Card, you can use it. Ensure your brother sign the form and always maintain the required amount till charging. Also ensure confirmation from your brother that he made international transaction through his Debit Card.

• DD on behalf of Canadian High Commission (Write your full name. File Number/Passport No behind. I suggest DD is the best option)
• Request letter (*this is the one which you get to provide list of documents from CIO NDVO.)
• New Passport bio pages with attestation
• PCC: Original (if you did not apply yet apply now)
• Medical Receipts
• Covering letter (e.g. as below)
