Nw i ve heard CIC is on holidays from Dec 19 to Jan 03 .. Does that mean i ll have to wait another 12-13 days for my PER ... really sad to hear this ..

Great to be part of this community and have a question.

I have earlier submitted an app for 2171 October end. Because 2171 reached cap in Nov, I have sent another application for NOC 2172 and it reached CIC on 12/19.

Will CIC void my 2172 app as I have submitted 2 applications.

Please advise. Thanks in advance!

No. If you have enough Experience and Points. Upto my knowledge . Your application don't void. By the ways did you mentioned the reason for the second application to the CIC.

thanks for the reply. Here is the reason. 2171 app reached CIC on Oct 30th. I have noticed that chances of 2171 app getting picked up is less and did not notice any Oct 2171's being in Dec. so went ahead and applied for 2172.

you can approach any courier with the letter from NDVO saying you to submit your passport. DHL will agree to send. But you make sure that in any sitution, you cannot fly till you get your passport. Also, you should have someone to get your passport back once after VISA in entered as it will be sent to the address mentioned in the application.

Any Idea how passports needs to be sent to NDVO if someone is outside the country?

I am just wondering if there is any other solution than to change the VO to the country you are residing in. For eg. NDVO to SGVO.

Hey guys, I had couriered my application via fedex yesterday and it is in transit showing expected delivery date as 29th Dec 1700 hrs however when I called the fedeX guy they told me that it will get delivered by 24th December. Please share your experience with fedex and let me know if it does reach before the estimated date?

No work permit needed after being confirmed as a permanent resident at the airport.

So you could start working right ahead? There is nothing more to do before start looking for a job?
