Hi Guys,

Have quick doubt and I think no better place than this to clarify same. One of my friend who has applied for FSW 2014 has been CC charged (App Rec 14th Aug, CC charged 18th Nov) but has not received PER. As per his talk with past employer he got background check from CIC. Is it even possible? Background check before PER?

It's too early for August to be checked

Make sure you entered the rignt information. What are you using file number or UCI?
Family name without first name?
Date of birth same sequence?
Family name as written on passport ?

Will they (NDVO) ever be fast in issuing PPR? Only 4-6 PPR till date for those who have applied in May. What will happen with us (August applicants). So many backlogs.

Thanks for the info.
It seems that NDVO is the one that has been mostly posted to have carried out background verification physically by itself.
I guess the way of doing verification varies from country to country, and ND handles a large majority of immigration applications, it is normal to see one or two such posts occasionally.
I have never heard any Chinese applicant post such verification from either Beijing or Hongkong office.

+1 I also think it depends on a country. It has been generally thought that Moscow and Kyiv do the checks themselves. Or at least, the people who make the dreaded phone calls introduce themselves usually as visa officers.

Just got mail from bank that our DD is en cashed in 28 November. Feeling a bit relieved. Now the wait for PER commences. Details of my application are as follows:

NOC :2131
App received by CIC:10th September
DD en cashed : 28th November.

Hello....Mine is also 2131....
App. Received 5th September
DD encashded on 28th November...

NO PER YET !
