one of the forum mate landed this month.. As he told, he has family of four but he carried only $2500 cash $10000 in draft.. means only $12500.. rest was in Indian bank account.. the officer checked and noted only the CAD amount and did not bothered about the bank statements of the Indian account.

so i think it wont be a problem but you should carry sufficient fund to support you at the initial stage..

I sent my package to CIC recently thro DHL. WHen I checked the tracking status , i found that It has been reached. But the details about who received it is MISSING. Has anyone sent their package thro DHL and faced the same . Is it usual that DHL doesnt update the 'recieved by' status

Friends,

I have received CoRP (together with Visa stamped in passport) from SGVO ...

in the CoRP of my wife and son, there is a section named 'Dependent's section'

and the question was written as:

Have you any dependents other than those listed below?

then my UCI number, my name and my date of birth

(same info written in both of my wife's and son's 'dependent's section'..

well, the confusion is that, I am (the principal applicant) not their dependent, rather they are my dependent.


anyone can clarify my confusion?

is it mandatory to carry the family-size specific fund during initial landing?
I know if its more its always nice. But we carry little less than what is required, are there any risks during the first landing?

better to carry or show proofs. You might be denied entry in the absence of this.
