What are those 'certain' countries? Are there any of exUSSR countries that can be deemed "certain"? :
In simple word I can tell you "Countries from where Terrorism erupts".


I also wondered what about our parents? For example, if an applicant's never been a serviceman, but their parent was? Can that mean any delays?
I don't think that can be an issue.

My application for NOC - 2173 reached CIC on 18th September, I did not get any NER mail till today although it looks like cap is reached in August 12. I tried to call +16139444000 to get the status of my application, but they need my application number to proceed further.

Can you please some one help me, How can I contact CIC agent (sequence of options) and get the application status

Hi Seniors!

I have collected all the required documents and I'm about to send my whole package:
But before that I have some doubts, Please help me clear those:

1) I'm applying for two members: me and my wife, for education purposes Do I need to send my wife's Documents/transcripts also or is it that only my documents are required?
2) Do I need to send my 10th & 12th Mark-sheets and certificates along with my ECA report & B.E and MBA transcripts/Degrees?
3) what should be the paper quality for Photographs?
4) Is notarization of documents necessary? If yes which documents? Please note: All of the documents I am submitting are in English Language.
5) My Birth certificate was issued by my nearest police station that too in handwriting( but there is an official seal of SHO), because the village I was born in does not fall under municipal limits, would that be a problem? DO i need to attach any affidavit or should I submit a notarized birth certificate copy?
6) Does my Bank need to mention total funds in local currency or Canadian Dollars?

Local police certificates are used to establish good citizenry conduct as per Criminality checks. They also have access to RCMP (Canadian federal police) databases in order to enquire about adverse information against applicant on Canadian soil.

Security checks are governed by Minister of Public Safety and Emergency Preparedness (PSEP) and are more like a detective's work aimed to establish if the applicant is admissable under IRPA provisions. Mainly, they are looking for terrorists, spies and war criminals.

There are many stakeholders that can be part of Security check, including but not limited to Regional War Crimes Unit or the Modern War Crimes Unit, National Security Division, CBSA, NHQ.

Hi guys, my application was received on 26th Sept2014. If I am missing any documents or they are going to refuse my application due to an invalid case (for example, incorrect NOC category), how much time do they take to inform? How long do I need to wait?

IF something is missing or in case of mismatch of duties with NOC they wont inform you. They will return your application along with reason included in package.

My present company office address changed on 1st November. My experience at present company not considered for calculation of points or category selection, as at the time of application submission less than one year at present job.

My PER awaited.

Should I inform the recent change in company address ?

Please suggest.
