With Deep gratitude to God I announce the end of this journey and the commencement of a new beginning for us in Alberta ;D. We received our PRV and COPR last week!!.

My timeline should serve as an encouragement to all those who are agitated about the delays they are currently experiencing. You must understand that delay has never meant denial and that God can be trusted to keep His promise. It will surely end in Praise!!! He has brought you this far.....He will carry you to the end.

You can renew the passport, if its not more than 6months in Lagos or any state where u reside. If more than 6months then renewal will be done @ the immigration headquarters in abuja. If u have the right contact, you can get it done quickly say 3 - 5 days. Renew the passport, inform AVO of renewal submitting copies of both new and old passports. Then a week or so later, send the passports. Am assuming that AVO asked that you submit passport within 30days. I think you need not scatter your plans of traveling later in July, you shln't rush yourself up. Its good to be better prepared since is not as if you will be returning back to Nigeria soon

pls.was is the process of informing the AVO of passport renewal. mine and and wiffy expires feb next year and our MR will soon arrive anytime next month. hoping to renew our passport in september our earlier.

With thanks to God, I announce the arrival of PPR today.

But there is a clause and I need your advice;

The Visa to be issued expires in July next year or by expiration of our passports (which ever date comes first).
I don't intend to travel until July next year but one of my dependent's passports expires in February next year.

Please what do you advice?

Normally,you cant renew a passport with above six months validity.In your case,maybe the 15 days given is within the 7th month to the expiry of your dependent.It makes sense for you to approach the immigration officials at the passport office with your need and explanation....hoping they will give concession to you.If this is done,you can get it within three days and send it to AVO notifying them the reason for the renewal.
If they do not give concession and the 5 months difference between February and July makes a great productive difference for you,raise a CSE and explain to Accra visa office for a a calculated extension date that will enable you to renew at 6 months to the expiry for you to send it.
For you to try this option,you must have a justifiable reason/evidence.
Aside this,its better you plan your trip for February and do a short landing to return back.

Congratulations Clerocuzio!!!! You cannot submit your passport in person, that am sure of. The seniors in
the house will advise on the best courier service for submission. However can u tell us your timelines from application
sent to PPR? Best regards

Clerocuzio , you can use any courier company for your passport submission, DHL, FEDEX, even the VFS office, they are all effective. But from various testimonies Heard from seniors FEDEX seem to be the cheapest with N8,500 per passport. DHL is also good though a lil expensive, haven't Heard of anyone that used VFS but I guess they are effective as well. So it depends on you. Please note U can't submit in person
