Saw this post in anoda forum and want to share, pls let us all remember all visa refusals in the past
...........................................................................
Dear All,

Recently I have received below communication from xyz visa office. Although I have mentioned my previous visits to other countries clearly but some I overlooked the clause for visa refusal.

VO has given me 30 days to provide the justification for same, Can someone please help me how to proceed?

This refers to your application for permanent residence in Canada.

Subsection 40(1)(a) of the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act 2001 states that a foreign national is inadmissible for misrepresentation for directly or indirectly misrepresenting or withholding material facts relating to a relevant matter that induces or could induce an error in the administration of this Act. Paragraph 40(2)(a) specifies that the foreign national continues to be inadmissible for misrepresentation for a period of five years following, in the case of a determination outside Canada, a final determination of inadmissibility under subsection (1).

In September 2014 you and your spouse completed Schedule A applications declaring that you have never been refused a visa to Canada or any other country. You declared these applications to be truthful, complete and correct. However we have information that you, your spouse and your son were refused Non Immigrant Visas.

I will allow you 30 days to address this concern. At the end of this time period I will make a decision on your application with or without a response.

Thanks in advance.

Hi all,

Just to update the house. I think AVO works sometimes on Saturdays o! At exactly 12:45pm today Saturday 20th June, I got a reply to my request for the extension of the deadline for the submission of my family's passports.

The email says and I quote: " Please be advised that an extension of 30days has been granted to you in order to submit the requested documents"

Struggling a bit with the interpretation as to the exact new deadline now. Original PPR mail says submit passports within 15 days from June 16th. Based on the extension granted, Does it mean I now have up to 45 days from June 16th or just 30 days from June 16th.

Just trying to get people's opinion.

Thanks.

30 days oo, 45 days...na Godwin. Pls quickly travel n comeback so u can send it as early as possible. If its me ooo, I will even try to beat the 30 day deadline ;D, cosvto reach ds stage is not moi moi. Congrats once again

Hi My good people,

Please i need your help, a friend that got his visa two month ago is planning to be in canada next month but only intend to stay for a week why his resident card will be posted to him by his friend in canada since that is the address he will be using.

But while booking on klm website the following message appeared:

(KLM, like other airlines, is obliged due to Canadian legislation to provide the Canada Border Service Agency (CBSA) with passenger reservation information (PNR)

Now he want to know what specific information airlines sent to Canada Border Service Agency, do they sent only the arrival ticket details or both arrival and return details.

Me too i need to know this becos am going to do the same once my visa arrived by God grace

Thank you foryour help

Please kindly help contact these applicants to be sure they are yet to get their Positive eligibility review email from CIC as it seems over-due.Either they have gotten update and have not reported or perhaps ,it has been reported but lost in the frendzy news of celebration.
Please kindly get in touch with any admin to help update the SS if you already have PER update.
If we have other applicants too whose update isn't reflected with appropriate color code, please kindly contact any admin to resolve this.
The admins are always a click away to rectify any issue on the SS.
Thanks.
Cheers.

Not so sure. I saw some folks btw 17th and 22nd Aug during the week.
Don't get hooked on the date squarely. MR doesn't seem to follow app date 100%. May depend on specific cases and Visa Officers.
Be assured yours is very close.... I see it coming next week. Say Amen!

Amen !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Thanks MacFar

akeme. It is the legal obligation for any airline to inform the border agency of any country about the passengers slated on board on a particular flight. What entitles you to a ticket is your visa...whether immigrant or temporary. your visa status is not the business of the airline...all they want to confirm is if you have a type of visa that will admit you to the intended country...one-way tickets are often relatively expensive than return....but one-way is recommended for the landing.
