I am a 2011 applicant. Got Medical Request in November 2014 and just got my Visa this month to Gods glory. However, I have a situation at hand. My Nigerian passport will expire in November and my visa will also expire in the same month. I am planning on travelling in September. Based on your wealth of experience in this house, can someone advise if anyone has had that kind of experience before? Is it still possible for me to renew the passport before travelling in September now that the Visa has been issued on the almost expiring passport?

Hello Chris,congrats on your Visa...with my little knowledge I don't think there is anyproblem so far you leave for Canada before the expiration of your Visa and passport which is November...yes you can renew your passport and just attach it to the existing one...chikena trouble no dey...cheers

Well this forum can be of immense help no doubt ,but unfortunately no "runs" as every advice you get here is in accordance to the rule,if you intend to migrate to Canada the earlier you start taking it out of your mind to "runs" and cut corner the better...just post any issue you have and people will respond accordingly...cheers

since you are travelling in Sept no issue, you can renew it when you get to Canada because you cannot carry two passport.

Let us not be in a hurry to assume that Segun is looking to cut corners or "do runs". I think we should allow him say exactly what he wants first. Some people use the term "runs" to mean anything they put in work to get results.
