Pipis Husband and all distinguished Naija forumites. I deliberately come to this forum alone because I get demoralized when I go on the other fora like 'August 2014 applicants' or 'FSW 2014 applicant timeline'. I saw so many August applicants with MR already. Accra V O is too slow..Ottawa and NDVO seem to be the fastest. You never can tell, some of the applicants might have their arranged employment at the time of application. Imagine AVO has not even started with June applicants? when will it be my turn...August lounloun! ha!

My dear DeeBruv, this journey of endurance is enough to test anyone's resolve but I know that one day wil come when you willl look back with your PR visa in hand and say. "God, you are faithful'.

Destiny may be delayed but he who God will bless, no man's curse can affect!

It is well with you and all that concerns you as sure as God is on the throne :)

Pls bro don't be discouraged. There is nuffn we can do to increase AVO speed. Ottawa is Canada gan gan. NDVO has special affiliation with Canada because they constitute a lot of early immigrants to Canada lounloun. So they are reaping fruits of their predecessors. Comparing AVO with them will only increase your anxiety. Even London visa office is operating close to AVO speed, so you are not alone.

Let me give u a tip instead of worrying , why don't u pour DT energy into research. Yes research of your intended neighbourhood. Like schools for the kids, neighbourhood to live in, community welfare that you can join etc etc. Trust me DT wud keep you so busy n before u know it will be ur turn for MR. I also want to believe you HV international certifications. If you don't, it will be wise to face it squarely now.

Don't worrry, it will end in praise.

We have some June applicants that have received MR and request for updated
POF please.
Relax and we shall get there very soon.
Good luck

This is the reason, you all should be on the Accra FSW2014 SS in order to see the trend of how
MR is flowing.

Greetings!!
To all of us who are finding the "waiting game" quite emotionally exhausting or mettle-testing ... This is actually to lift your spirits. I hope it works. ;D

Did you know that the Official processing time for FSW applications at Accra - Ghana is 31 months? Let's put that in clearer perspective - 2 years and 7 months!!! Open the link under and see for yourself that Accra has the 3rd longest processing time off all Canadian Visa offices world wide!

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/times/perm/skilled-fed.asp

Now, for AVO to have processed some 2014 applications to finish line within 6-7months (or less than a year), isn't it safe to say they are on high speed? :D Someone mentioned that their appraisals will be poor ... Hmmm, I think their appraisals are looking pretty cool considering the set target from CIC.
By the way, how does Morocco do it in 3 months?! People dey immigrate to Canada from that side sef? Methinks those Casablancos prefer to smuggle themselves into France! ;D

Anyway, Patience is a virtue they say and I wish us all the grace to grow that.

DeeBruv. Your concern is understood; AVO is not even yet done with May 2014 applicants. However, in this journey, we all need patience, endurance & perseverance. While you wait, continue in prayer earnestly & fervently. That when it gets to your turn, God's divine favour, mercy & compassion will prevail over your file & every document. These prayers are very key.

It is not just getting to our turn but when it does, we shall receive positive & favourable response.

I agree with you Dotsngr. Let's channel our energy & focus on preparations toward new life in Canada. And also, let us get international certifications before leaving. It is easier to do the certifications here in Nigeria than over there. Settling down can take a whole of one's time and sometimes unsettle someone. But preparing from here means that you are well prepared to face the opportunities & challenges you might face. And also study to know how to tap into other opportunities that lie ahead.

And of course, be continuous in prayers to God.

It shall end in praise & testimony for each & everyone of us in Jesus name (Amen).

Hello All, congrats to all those who have received updates. God will see us all through to a succesful end. Please I need some guidance. We are awaiting MR and my passport will expire in 2 months. I have begun the renewal process but the passport is in my maiden name. I do not want to go thru Abuja change of name wahala,so d plan was to continue with my maiden name, since it is not a major issue in canada. I found out from the nis office today that if I apply for change of name within 6months. I will not need to do another data capture at Abuja cos d one i am doing now will b considered recent. Now my question is will d change of name delay our application? Is there anyone who has done this midway with no delays?

It should not necessarily delay you because you are expected to do a CSE to Accra as soon as you do the name change. This will alert them in the type of requests they will make of u when they send your MR. The catch in it, is if you are a May / June 2014 applicant . You will observe they re working on these months currently. Example. if they send MR this week and you are just inititiating Change of name with Naija immigration, hmmm your guess is as good as mine. However if you applied late last year, chances are you cud conclude the name change before your MR arrives and there won't be delay with your fsw processing.
