Everyone needs to work according to the new POF. May God help us all in this pursuit. Not everyone has the required POF but I pray that God will grant us the favour and blessings to be able to meet up & have more than the newly required POF.

True talk. Its safer to work with the most recent POF. Even add extra to cushion this currency fluctuation.

Dotsngr, I know how you feel, pele o. The thing tire everybody. The new POF is not for Express Entry only, in fact the visa officer gave me the link in his mail to me.

Those of us who had border line POF have always been anxious ... so much anxiety ... now that AVO has come knocking, we thank God we have been able to add something.
I believe you still have some time before your MR to patch up (or pad up - not sure which phrase to use now) your savings. All is well.

Aptly said my brother. Savings continuaaaa! Even if one achieves the POF, it is still better to have extra. Obodo Oyibo no be africa. No one to run to there. Besides which story you go tell the children?

Good people, I got an update from Accra at noon today. An extract below.

In order for us to continue the processing of your application, we require the following:

Proof of funds: you must have in the form of transferable and available funds, unencumbered by debts or other obligations. Send updated bank statements, fixed deposit certificates, etc. If you have made large deposits into your accounts or fixed term investments, you must provide evidence of where the funds originated.

Just in case some of us are not aware, there has been an increase (from the time we applied and now - not very significant though) in the Amount of Funds Required - open the link above. So it is not an issue of fluctuating rates only.

I hope Fixed Deposit Certificate and 2-months statement is enough for RK (Immigration Officer). ;D

I got an update of POF mail today, please how do I get it to them?
I used a fixed deposit that I had fixed since april 2013 with some savings then, I guess the foreign exchange rate issue changed all.
I still have the fixed deposit and larger savings now, do I still send both

Pipis Husband and all distinguished Naija forumites. I deliberately come to this forum alone because I get demoralized when I go on the other fora like 'August 2014 applicants' or 'FSW 2014 applicant timeline'. I saw so many August applicants with MR already. Accra V O is too slow..Ottawa and NDVO seem to be the fastest. You never can tell, some of the applicants might have their arranged employment at the time of application. Imagine AVO has not even started with June applicants? when will it be my turn...August lounloun! ha!
