Samuel,
You really do not have any problem at all.I will advise you wait till you receive your PER before you send a cover note to accra with the updated form. Although, they may also request for the same form at first sight as well. However, i will advise you holla them immediately you receive your PER before it gets to MR stage.
I will not advise you write sydney now because of the large number of applications they receive, the ability to respond to your request on time and also to scale the initial completeness check over there. The issue at hand is a common norm that perhaps known to them having such minor errors occurring in applications though some people purposely think they might not know.
I know your heart is up there because it is not easy all. I passed through a similar scenario and i can assure you that you will get in IJMN.
Just pray for favour along with your application.

Regards,
Poldy.

Thanks a lot Dotsngr, have you received any acknowledgement of the documents? I am not a Ma'm, I am simply Me............... :)

Hahhahha. OK sis. ;D. Hope DT one is OK?
Not yet. My experience with Accra is if your app is still in processs within the time frame, they don't respond. So I am waiting it out. They will definitely do so in due time.

Just that the suspense is heart rending almost. I don't even know which one is worse? pre-PER or post-PER? ;D

Hello All,

All this talk about the background form has got me worried.

Initially I interpreted the question to be about the principal applicant or any dependents they are applying for. I ticked "NO" because I as the principal and only applicant, at that point, had never been denied a visa.

Should it include the visa history of my parents and siblings as well, so do I have to ask them if they have ever been refused any visa?

I will appreciate your input on this.

KKE, the form says "...any of your family members listed in your application for permanent residence in Canada". It doesnt include your parents and siblings; your interpretation is correct.

Hello, jaybol, welcome on board. You can contact them by CSE to explain your error - https://secure.cic.gc.ca/enquiries-renseignements/case-cas-eng.aspx?mission=accra. The alternative is to fill the form again and attach a cover letter stating that you wish this new one to replace the one earlier sent with your application. Be as polite as possible and quote your full name, date of birth, NOC applied in, date your application was received at CIO and by whom. Send it by courier as quickly as possible and all will be fine. Cheers.

Hi Pipis Husband. Im guilty of the same error too. My spouse was refused a visitors visa twice long time ago. So do I send it online OR send by courier OR do both?

Balinga, Pipi's Husband and Onyiike thank you all for input.

May God see us all through and save us from any mistakes that can hinder us.

As suggested below by a forumite, this can be updated at the time of MR:

He doesnt need to bother himself. This same question has been asked in several occation. Once you get MR. use the opportunity to update the form. No need to send an CSE.

I think you should inform them after you get PER, because you will be required to fill more forms or rather update some forms.
