Guys,

I have applied for FSW on 07 July 14 and din't get the PER yet, very tensed.

Courier date : 04 July 14
Courier delivery date : 08 July 14
Mode of Payment : DD

Does CIC reply for each and every applicant whether they it is successful or not?
Is the 'Bar Code' mandatory for the application which is manually signed ?
How to inquire the status of the application, i am staying in UAE.

Com'on! Cheer up ;D You are not permitted to be disheartened at this period maybe a lil worried or anxious. From the regular CIC updates we get courtesy of KSA, CIC is still charging applicants within the range of your submission date therefore, there is no cause for alarm except you have made a mistake that you feel could lead to a rejection. Between, your means of payment is DD which takes a while before you know when charged unlike CC.
CIC only sends PER mail to successful applicants and returns rejected application via post.
The Bar code will only be generated if you filled the app online, so it would not be expected if filled manually
However, you can send an enquiry to CIC using this email CIO-Sydney-Search-Enquiry @ cic.gc.ca and expect a response in about 60 days. quote your details when sending the information...Best wishes

Hi, see above. I feel your boss should relax if it's not Canada that she was refused before. We are too many for CIO to cross check every single comma and full stop in our applications. Cheers

In that case, please get her to refill the form and put the correct information about the prior refusal then send with a cover letter about the omission to CIO. She should state her full name, date of birth, passport number and NOC she's applying in, with the date her application was received in 2014 at CIO.

Am the Principal Applicant, but my spouse passport will expire by April 2015 and we want our visa expiration date b tied to MR receipt date not passport expiration date. Pls what do I do?

Since you have not gotten MR, I'll advise your spouse renews his passport immediately and send a CSE to AVO afterwards with a scanned copy of the old and new passport data page.

Update on CIC activities
Currently,CIC is working on completeness checks on August applications
and charging & PER issuing on the previous months.
This could be one of the reasons we are not getting update for now.
They are clearing heap of applications received.
