Hi bjenike. I am very sorry if I got you annoyed. I retract whatever I said that annoyed you. I am glad that your post has given us a point of reference for our colleagues with OND and HND. it is sealed. A beg no vex. I did not mean to insult you. you said I spoke carelessly but I only spoke out of my limited knowledge. I only said I disagreed with you, E ma binu. Thanks.
no issues.

Hi guys, just to applaud the team on this thread and appreciate all inputs and suggestions. Special thanks bjenike for helping out with a sample of ECA for OND/HND qualifications and also thanks to Deebruv for his analysis and mature candor. I appreciate everyone who is helping out on this thread by way of asking questions that make some of us run to get answers ;) and to those who help to provide solutions, direction, statistics and above all prayers.
It shall be well with us and all that concerns us. Please, we will be introducing a spreadsheet for 2014 FSW applicants from Nigeria. Similar to the global spreadsheet for 2014 FSW applicants, this one will be dedicated to Nigerian applicants, to help chronicle our timelines and track our progress. Our senior, Kollins will play lead consultant in designing and maintaining it while ksa will also be involved in maintenance and update of data on the sheet.
I would like you all to visit the sheet and supply your relevant data and please spread the word to other Naijas on the forum to log their 2014 data on the sheet. The link for the sheet will soon be published on this thread, hopefully before the week is out.
A wonderful week ahead to you all, God bless this dear family :)

Pipi's Husband.

Nice one!

is there no one who got his transcript sent and verified by UNN? please did you get it verified via email?

Please confirm urgently. the person i spoke with on the phone insists that UNN does not verify transacript via email

If my memory serves me right, I didn't pay for degree verification as it was done via email, though it may depend on the institution. However, if they are charging only 3,840 NRN and not USD or CAD (lol), it might be worth paying it.

Good afternoon.

Just to add, the university does 2 things:
1. They send a copy of our transcript via courier to WES and then
2. When it reaches WES, WES sends our school an email to verify the transcript.

That's why universities ask for courier fees. For UNILAG its N16,000. They also asked for transcript application fees (which was N2,500). Other than these two costs, there were no other fees demanded. Email degree verification is done by mail and should be free.

Have a great week y'all.

WARNING ON NOCs

DO NOT APPLY TO THIS NOC AGAIN.IT IS RATHER LATE
1112
ALTERNATIVE YOU CAN GO FOR NOW
1111,1113,1114

DO NOT APPLY TO THIS NOC AGAIN.IT IS RATHER LATE
2171,2173 & 2174
ALTERNATIVE YOU CAN GO FOR BY NOW
2172 & 2281.

Thanks for the info.

A bit worried though about NOC 1113 still at zero all this while. Hope all is well with it. Has anyone heard of a rejection for this NOC?

DO NOT APPLY TO THIS NOC AGAIN.IT IS RATHER LATE.
2132
ALTERNATIVE YOU CAN GO FOR BY NOW
2232 & 2243

The above clue will surely help potential applicants so as not to waste valuable time in preparing their
applications for capped & almost capped NOCs rather they will go straight to alternative NOCs that will actively accept
their applications.

These ALTERNATIVE NOCs will be called to cap very soon and applicants must act as soon as possible.

ALL THE BEST.

My personal advice to you is that you should be proactive, do something fast and do not allow this situation to slow you down. If they insist on you paying, pay the money and ask for the tracking number. Even if they claim to have sent it by registered mail, there will still be a tracking number. Tell them you want monitor the mail yourself. I still believe someone might be trying to extort money from you because I know UI verifies by email, Ife verifies by email and somebody just said on this forum that Unilag too does the same. Why should UNN be different? The CAPs are filling up. WES will still have to reply you, you will still fill the forms, send the forms and those forms will have to wait in the long queue behind the forms that are submitted before it in Nova Scotia.
By the way, I hope WES is the only thing you are waiting for to send the application?

I sincerely wish you Godspeed

Hello Canadians ;), im glad to see we are in the process of getting our spreadsheet done. Oya who's volunteering o, we all have been seconding, thirding, etc ;D but we need someone to volunteer to do it. and it can be done using any of the following ways:
1. Extract information from the general SS by sorting out with applicants that have Accra visa office;
2. Extract from our individual profile; or
3. We post our timelines on the forum.

So who's gonna champion this cause? the earlier we do the better as we are about receiving MRs oooo...

Forumites. It might be a kind of stale news to you. But I now know why there was so much influx of 2174 and 1112. They apparently had most of their applications returned in 2013 due to cap that was already filled in their various NOCs. 300 maximum cap for 24 occupations with a total of 5000. So many applications were returned. Please see the 2013 list below.
0211 Engineering managers
1112 Financial and investment analysts
2113 Geoscientists and oceanographers
2131 Civil engineers
2132 Mechanical engineers
2134 Chemical engineers
2143 Mining engineers
2144 Geological engineers
2145 Petroleum engineers
2146 Aerospace engineers
2147 Computer engineers (except software engineers/designers)
2154 Land surveyors
2174 Computer programmers and interactive media developers
2243 Industrial instrument technicians and mechanics
2263 Inspectors in public and environmental health and occupational health and safety
3141 Audiologists and speech-language pathologists
3142 Physiotherapists
3143 Occupational Therapists
3211 Medical laboratory technologists
3212 Medical laboratory technicians and pathologists' assistants
3214 Respiratory therapists, clinical perfusionists and cardiopulmonary technologists
3215 Medical radiation technologists

Those highlighted in red are still part of the new 50 eligible professions.
By default, some filing into some of these professions will be demanding
because those that had their applications returned under FSW2013 would
have submitted on time.
For the Cold & Open professions, they will struggle to be capped by Dec.2014
For the hot & Open professions, they will be capped b/w Oct & Dec.2014.
Best of luck

ksa0510. Your analysis blows my mind. Forumites yet to apply on the repeated NOCs should act asap
