If you're not pressed for time, you may defer landing till Late Sept- Nov. December would be high again.
We have to land asap cos of the children's school, so I gat to buy the tickets like dat. Still cheaper than paying millions as school fees in Naija in Sept. Dats my consolation.
There'd always be a way out.

Firstly I will like to congratulate everyone with positive update. A family friend of mine in Canada spoke about this forum and I thought it will be a good idea to let all forumtes knows that I am currently seeking for an employment opportunity in HSE sector. I have recently completed a master course in environmental engineering and have undergone a certified HSE training course. Recently I have successfully passed the Nebosh IGC1 and preparing to write the last two part in September. I would really appreciate if any one will be willing to link me up with prospective employer in need of my skills, experience and qualification in Nigeria. Although, it seems quite inappropriate to post this kind of topic on this forum, but I thought it will be a good idea since, if all goes as planned for all, many will or have already left their jobs to travel to Canada creating opportunities for those still residing in Nigeria. Pls if by any chance I have offended any with this post, forgive. However if God has laid it in anybody heart to be of help, pls reply with you email add and will gladly forward my CV. May it end in praise for all (amen).

I guessed it is acceptable. I used a microfinance investment certificate myself during the initial stage and it was accepted. Though I didn't add any other documents, just the investment certificate. The investment has since matured and I have rolled it over. I intend to submit the roll over certificate when update POF is requested for.

Excellent strategy, but its not likely you get such feedback from here as most people are eagerly waiting for an update from AVO. you may be lucky though. However, best bet is jobsites, Linkedin etc. All the best

Hi,
Congrats on your new job. You can notify avo asap as advised in your PER to avoid additional delay. However, you may choose to advise avo when your PER lands since your resumption date is still in the future hopefully after PPR. Anyone you choose is ok but I would advise you go by the latter one (after PPR provided it comes b4 resumption date). If not, inform them when your resume your new job.

Hello Seniors.. i have been a silent follower of this forum but i guess its hi time i came out of my shell. I need a little help with the next step to take on my application. I applied for the 2014 FSW in October 2014,got my PER mail in January 2015 and MR in July 2015.However,in July, i got a job in the UK and i got my UK work permit this month.My questions begging for answers are (1)When should i notify AVO about this change? Reason being that my resumption date is still on the 14th of September and hopefully my passport request might come before this resumption date or after.(2) If am to notify AVO,how best should i go about it?(3) Will this in anyway undermine my chances of getting the PRV?.

Yes, a microfinance bank fixed deposit investment would suffice for PoF; in addition to the bank certificate you should request for a statement showing inflows and outflows over the last 6 months, as well as detailed explanations about the source(s) of any material inflows during the period. It never hurts to attach pay stubs as well.
