I guessed it is acceptable. I used a microfinance investment certificate myself during the initial stage and it was accepted. Though I didn't add any other documents, just the investment certificate. The investment has since matured and I have rolled it over. I intend to submit the roll over certificate when update POF is requested for.

Firstly I will like to congratulate everyone with positive update. A family friend of mine in Canada spoke about this forum and I thought it will be a good idea to let all forumtes knows that I am currently seeking for an employment opportunity in HSE sector. I have recently completed a master course in environmental engineering and have undergone a certified HSE training course. Recently I have successfully passed the Nebosh IGC1 and preparing to write the last two part in September. I would really appreciate if any one will be willing to link me up with prospective employer in need of my skills, experience and qualification in Nigeria. Although, it seems quite inappropriate to post this kind of topic on this forum, but I thought it will be a good idea since, if all goes as planned for all, many will or have already left their jobs to travel to Canada creating opportunities for those still residing in Nigeria. Pls if by any chance I have offended any with this post, forgive. However if God has laid it in anybody heart to be of help, pls reply with you email add and will gladly forward my CV. Please house i would like to know your advice/opinion on this, a friend of mine wants to do change of name but is confused on whether she should go ahead now that her MR is around d corner and also she does not know if this will cause a delay on her processing and confusion to d case officers. advice/opinion is highly appreciated. Personal opinion, change of name means she need to do another passport at Abuja, the stress is not worth it. Why not continue with the name she has been using. So that your application will not be delay unnecessarily. When you land in Canada you can always do the changes if it is necessary.

I want to express my profound gratitude to u @ technolee. I actually had to change my registry date today and i was given thursday aug 13. I hope to raise a CSE by saturday when i get some copies of the wedding pics along with the marriage certificate that will be issued on registry day. She already just got a new passport a few months ago and i was thinking of doing the change of name when we get to Canada so as not to go through the wahala of doing a name change in papers and getting another new passport again.
I will wait AVO response on what documents i should send to them once i raise a CSE as you have advised me.
If anything arises or i want to ask for more questions i wont hesitate to ask.

Hi,
She can go ahead but she should not advise avo about it yet until she is successful on it. While doing that, let her still maintain her initial status and can inform avo after she has done the change of name.

Hi Enri,
Looking for HSE opportunities in Nigeria is quite a serious task right now. I have been NEBOSH IGC and WSO certified HSE professional since 2013 and quite frankly I have searched here and there too for bigger roles. What I have done is too develop my company's H & S processes and this has helped me to grow working in that capacity. The truth is that most companies either outsource their HSE needs or develop in- house talents. Or better still,the few adverts are placed internally which now balls down to who knows who.
My advice;
* write your Part 2 & 3 of the NEBOSH exams, you need to finish that before you can be taken seriously.
* look for HSE professionals on LinkedIn and connect
* look for HSE training firms and connect with them. They do help in getting internship slots with big multinationals where you can attach for some months to learn the ropes of the profession and from there you may be able to access some other companies.
