I got a mail from AVO now saying I may not eligible bcos I do not av up to required amount of 18260 cad. It was not up to 18100 cad for a family of 3 when I submitted the application in November and I fixed 2.7mill naira. Please I would like to know the current forex for cad-naira bcos I increased the fixed deposit to 3 mill naira( as if I knew sometin like this would happen).
Please any helpful advice is welcomed.

@Geebee,i believe AVO must have asked u to respond to this mail in 15-30 days.Am sure u have ur pof ready for them,send it as soon as posible.CAD vs Naira should not be more than N160 to $1cad.goodluck to u as i await my turn

Did AVO ask you to provide further POF within some days. I would advise that you do CSE to AVO and attach your new POF. But I am not sure what rate they could have used though. Other forum members can add their voices.

Did AVO ask you to provide further POF within some days. I would advise that you do CSE to AVO and attach your new POF. But I am not sure what rate they could have used though. Other forum members can add their voices.

I was told to provide additional document to show that I have a funds up to 18260 cad before 30 days.

I think the silly mistake I made was that I did not raise cse to let them know that I was increasing d fixed deposit. I am positive everything will end in joy. God will smoothen the whole process for us all and big congrats to seniors that have crossed the line

I'm about to do my medicals next week along with my wife and I'm trusting God that we would receive PPR in a month or 2. My concern is my wife should be out of the country for studies by September and I don't know how do to go about it when AVO passport request comes. Please what are our options?

Easy dear easy , when we reach d bridge , we will cross it. Plenty options are available

This is truly a challenging moment really but with God it's nothing. Noone actually know what rate AVO uses as conversion rate but I am sure the international official exchange rate is the one they use as a government organ. I would advise u go with ex.com rate but try up CAD18,260 (N2.8m as@ now) with at least CAD1 (CAD19,260 =N2.9m) or CAD2K (CAD20,260= N3.1m) to be on a safe side if you can.

In my own case, my pof for single family is CAD11,931 (N1.9m) and my fd was CAD14,258 (N2,184,000).

With 3m, you should be ok but the Case Officer has his/her guiding principle for determining sufficient pof. It's beyond having the exact amount but also the source genuiness of d fund and the capacity to have such funds considering your incomes over d claimed yrs of work experience. Ultimately, na God favour we need. Do your best and leave the rest for God.
