apart from X-ray, u undergo Blood and Urine Test to be precise as they check for your siphillis, diabetes, blood sugar, HIV, kidney and liver disease, tuberculosis, hepatitis B. if a woman is on her monthly period, they wild advise she comes when she is done.(cos its cost more when she is on her period due to additional analysis)
if you have a history of any of such, i will advise you let the medical doctor know. worse case they would do additional test.
the thing is CiC checks your medical result and evaluate it to see if you would be a financial burden to the canadian health care mgt system..
so having such history doesn't mean you won't be granted a visa.. I KNOW PPL THAT GOT THEIR VISA REGARDLESS..
infact in your COPR, there is a code in the medical section. upon arriving at point of entry, you may need to fill other forms if ur medical code is 2... because 1 means ur fine and 2 means attention required by immigration personal..

I am in the process of submitting my passports, while filling out the generic application form IMM0008 i got to a point where you are asked to check the box if residential address is same for Mailing Address, my worry is i Live in the UK and my UK Address is still valid and its what is still on my ecas, since i am currently in Nigeria, do i need to change my mailing address to a Nigerian one, am worried my Passports and COPR may be sent to my UK address then the hassle of trying to get it back to Nigeria when its delivered at my home in the UK, pls assist people.

My long awaited MR landed at 10:29am while i was not even ready to check my phone that has been blinking "read me before i die!". I give God all the glory and to you Dare Kollins, you are really God sent as you were a substantial part of my application before you left for AB.

My wife is ill for no and i would have to chill for her before going for the tests. what tests are we expecting if i may ask?

no specific timeframe as there are a lot of factors involved such as outcome of your medical results, CIC/AVO lead and lag times due to work load

However, two weeks max if all is fine..
