Hello House,

Congrats to everyone with various positive updates from AVO. I have been a silent member of this forum since 2014 when my PR application processing started with CIO. This forum has been very useful for me in tracking my application. Like most people, i got my PPR was on June 16th but I have a bit of a dilemma which the I need the house and especially much-man and onenigeria who have been in a similar situation to help with.

the issue is as follows, as usual; AVO gave 15 days from June 16th for submission of my family Passports but because of some back to back business foreign trips which I have already scheduled, I will not be able to send the Passports to them till around the week of 13th July. Based on this, I immediately replied AVO on the same email (ACCRAIMMIGRATION @ INTERNATIONAL.GC.CA) which was used to issue the PPR mail requesting for an extension of the 15 days to about 33 days a(telling them that my passports will get to them latest by July 17th). Now that request was sent on June 17th less than 24 hrs from the receipt of the PPR mail of June 16th. As to today is June 19th I'm yet to receive confirmation of the extension request from AVO. I only got an auto reply stating that my mail is been reviewed and if need be they will reply.



Now my questions are:

1) To like of much-man and onenigeria who have gotten Passport submission extension from AVO, how did you contact AVO? Was through CSE or an email to the ACCRAIMMIGRATION @ INTERNATIONL.GC.CA.

2) How long does it take to get a confirmation of the approval of the extension?

3) wondering if I should raise CSE instead of just replying the PPR mail.

I also attached evident of my tickets to the mail I sent.

Kindly advise on the steps, really considering raising a CSE not sure if the email option is faster.

Hi Superdee, hv you gotten a response from forumites? U may need to send pm to onenigeria and much mann, they will see it in their email n respond sharply. There is an avalanche of posts, do they may miss your question. Congrats all d same.

Hello Bonblu,

Kindly share your knowledge on this with me too. I have been asked to provide updated form IMM8. Meanwhile:

1. There is no form that is specifically IMM8, but there is IMM0008 (General application form). Are they the same?

2. I am renewing my passport, how is such update submitted? Will filling the new number on IMM0008 suffice? Or what is the correct procedure?

3. There is no addition to my family.

Appreciate yours and everyone's feedback on this.

1.. yes they are the same.. i believe you have a copy, so just repeat the details back into the imm008 form
2..yes input your new passport number
3. Yes since there are no addition to the family. you leave information the same and just update your passport number..

Good evening forumites. The lord has turned my frustration to joy o. My PPR majestically and miraculously popped in today while still on bed. Was a bit reluctant to check the mail so i wont loose the sleep so i slept off. Was woken up by a knock on the door and after attending to the person i decided to check the message that pooped in. Hmmm lo and behold the long awaited message came in exactly 8.02 am and when i tried opening it(hands shaking, heart pumping fast) i jst saw the first line that said visa appears ready. I was so happy that i almost summersaulted forgetting i get belle.

God said in his words that what so ever you ask in my NAME , i will do it. He did not answer me when i was relying on my power but when i gave up all and handed to him, he showed up. My advise to all awaiting members is that in the journey of life, at one point or the other, God tends to forcefully teach us patience which i must confess i have learnt in this journey.

I give all the glory to God almighty the beginning and the end , the one who can do all things and can bend protocols for our sake.
Also i appreciate all the forum members who at one point or the other been so worried about my case (pipi husband, fnb, royaldee, angel eyes, and how can i forget u oga bensonams for your encouraging words. May God bless you all. I know i must have skipped some names but pardon me, the memory thing comes with pregnancy. I appreciate you all.

Thanks MacFar. I would love you to expantiate on this please...because I did not see any querry on whether one has been refused visa before in my application form when I filled it. Filed Aug 18 2014...I am confused

I'm sure u probably can't remember all the questions in Section 6 of Schedule A Background / Declaration Form.
Question 4 says "Been refused refugee status, an immigrant or permanent resident visa (including a Certificat de selection du Quebec (CSQ) or application to the Provincial Nominee Program) or visitor or temporary resident visa, to Canada or any other country?"
Question 5: "Been refused admission to, or ordered to leave, Canada or any other country?

Dee bruv, I had d same issue, n I scanned the corrected form to AVO via CSE and via AVO's email. The space in d form was little so I attached a cover letter to support it. Pls try n do it now before thry communicate u. U know ure an august app. Chances re they re reviewing ur file now.

The latest MR update in this forum is Aug 11 I guess?

Not so sure. I saw some folks btw 17th and 22nd Aug during the week.
Don't get hooked on the date squarely. MR doesn't seem to follow app date 100%. May depend on specific cases and Visa Officers.
Be assured yours is very close.... I see it coming next week. Say Amen!
