27/01/2015 - Medical/RPRF request
29/01/2015 - RPRF paid

Congrats PH on your PR visa. This is very encouraging. A lot of lessons to learn from you on PATIENCE. Over 3 months btw application date and PER and also almost 4 months btw PER and MR.
God will guide your steps as you take the bold step to better the lot of your family.

Please i need your guide on this which is critical to me at this point.

Based on the available info, i have called CIC (+16139444000) three times in the last 3 months. The recent call was made today and a guy responded. His response was that he can see my application on the system and that it was received on Dec 09, 2014 and aside that there is no other information available on the system. I pressed him to give further info or perhaps he should ask someone in the office what exactly is happening with my application. He could not give me info that is not in the system.

Please house, in this situation, what is the assumption and what step should i take in this case. I would be glad for a quick response.

Have debited your CC? If so when did they debit you. If they have debited your account there could bbe several reason for the delay in getting PER.
1. I hope you are not claiming point for relatives, because if you are it might take a little longer as in my case.
2. I also hope your JD matches your NOC in the reference letter.
3.You can also raise CSE to CIC though it take about 45 to 60days before they reply

I'm currently awaiting MR.
The discussions on POF are of interest to me and I would like to enquire the following:

I submitted to CIC: 1)statement of salary account (up to reqd value for family); 2) cooperative savings statement; 3) Employee savings plan statement and 4) payslips as POF.
The cash in salary account is no longer there but I have about 2/3 of it in money market investment and I can get statement when needed. The amounts in cooperative and ESP together far surpass the required value for my family size.
I just wanna know if I'm okay as it is right now.

Does AVO readily accept statements like Cooperative Savings and Employee Savings Plan as POF or I'd need to still shore up my current account balance to combine with the Money market investment balance to meet the reqd value for my family size.

Claiming points for relatives does not make your process longer or shorter we also claimed points for relatives and we got our PER when other people for our application date were getting their PER

If by Employee Savings Plan you mean Retirement Savings Plan or Pension Funds, then it does not count at AVO.

Hi Macfar,

ESP = Pension scheme doesn't appear to be recognised by AVO at the POF update stage . It is NOTone of the options AVO gives when asking for POF. Someone claimed to have used it before but my advise is that you plan your POF without factoring in your pension.

Now, with regards to cooperative, it should be allowed if the funding source is shown in your bank statement. You need to be sure your debit from your bank statement tallies with your credit in the cooperative account. ....if not. I've seen two people present it, one was accepted., the other wasn't.

I'm new in this forum but need to ask some questions about my application. I have already updated the spread sheet with my timelines.

When I submitted my proof of funds in November 2014, I submitted my dollar statement, fixed deposit statement and my spouse's savings account showing our balance at the time. But i will not be using the dollar account anymore because I had to use the funds for something else in December. Right now i intend to use my upfront housing allowance (which was paid in January 2015) as a substitute for the dollar account. I have put the money in a fixed deposit account in February 2015.

These are my questions:

1. Could it be a problem with AVO if i do not include my dollar statement when they request for my updated proof of funds?
2. My fixed deposit rolls over every 30 days and is not fixed for a long term (Returns are higher this way ). Also GTBank sends the fixed deposit certificate via email once a roll over occurs. When I am required to send in my proof of funds, do i just send the last fixed deposit certificate sent to me or do I print every fixed deposit certificate from the inception of the investment? I also know GTBank can give me a statement showing the rollovers. Should i use that instead.
3. Also I hope the duration of the investment will not be a problem or better still should i make it a long term investment (say 180 days) as against 30 days?
4. Lastly, I do not intend to use my salary account at all, but do I need to attach it to my fixed deposit statement when an updated proof of fund is requested to show an evidence of the fixed deposit source or do I just wait for AVO to request for it themselves.
