Hey Guys, I just got the strangest mail (in my opinion) from our immigration consultant. I find it odd because she has not mentioned to us yet about receiving our PER but she is requesting for the updates of Generic, Additional family information, Background declaration forms and the information below:

Below is a link to the application forms that required updating. Please review them for accuracy and inform me, asap, if any amendments are required.

If all is well, please print the forms, sign & date them and return them to my office with the following:

1. Copy of Passport for ........
2. Copy of Birth Certificate for .......
3. 6 Passport size photos of .......
4. $150 CDN funds money order payable to the "Receiver General for Canada"

Pray tell me, is my apprehension unfounded?

I think you should ask your lawyers what exactly is going on. You guys have enlisted their services, so you need to be kept abreast of all that is happening. Did you include a child in your original application? Did you pay the initial $150 for a child? Please find out from them ASAP then proceed from there. Cheers.

Hi babygirlie, welcome 'home'. Just as we are a family here for the application processes, we shall be a family in Canada as well for the landing/settlement activities as well.

Great to hear this @pipis husband, baby girl, and all, the forum continues even after landing. As it is in NAIja, so will it be in Manitoba. Thank you so much for this great work, only God can adequately reward. I count how many errors I have been saved from simply by reading other people errors from the forum and quickly correct.

I had a baby less than a week before we submitted our forms so i understand the additional family form. Also, we are among the group of applicants who unintentionally did not indicate the visa refusals so i understand the background declaration form as well. Nonetheless, there is a missing link somewhere. I am going to find out ASAP

Okay, now I understand. The additional $150 is for your new born baby. Just send the required information/documents to them.

I included my first child in my original application and paid the fee. This latest fee should be for my baby. The wait has been crazy. If she received the PER email and refused to update us, that would not be nice!! Imagine all this high BP for a mail that has been sitting smugly in her inbox all this while.

Yeah, I know, the wait is killing. But I'm sure your PER mail has come and the VO needs the updated forms, but the lawyers should inform you guys.

God bless U too Mz Johnson, but personally Pipis Husband, i don't think there anything wrong is running parallel platforms ie, BBM & Whatsapp, as long as members are informed with current events, updates and enquiries are responded to. Yes oh, its very important and necessary. My prayer is that those landing in Canada soon should get good jobs so in the future, they can either employ or nominate members of this forum. ;D ;D
