Morning eFam!,
I'm still waiting for MR o!
8)
But on a lighter note...a friend of mine just got his PPR! but now his agent is asking him to pay RPRF at the rate of N305/$ when bank ATM rate is N227/CAD$.
My questions:
1. How much should he be paying originally assuming no agent was involved using a naira debit card? (from a recent xperience)
He is supposed to pay $490CAD if it's just him or $980CADs if it's for him/her and the spouse.
2. Should he just buy CAD$ and pay him normal amount in CAD since he is using his "personal" exchange rates?
He can actually make the payment online using this link https://eservices.cic.gc.ca/epay/welcome.do?lang=en, he should follow the instructions carefully.
3. Does an agent reserve any right to charge whatever rate he so pleases asides his professional fees?
Not necessarily, but if he is going to buy Forex through a third party the person can charge him a premium for the service, HOWEVER, HE IS NOT BOUND TO BUY FROM HIS AGENT.
4. How can he proceed with this payment without the agent?
He should pay online and forward the payment receipt to the Agent (If the agent is the one sending the documents to AVO, or send it along with all the requested documents if the responsibility for submitting the documents is his/hers.
Thanx in advance!
