Today our family (2 people) just got our Medical and sin police cert done. It costs quite a bomb to get the medical done in Singapore. I met a Manitoba PNP applicant family at the clinic (2 parents & 2 little girls - Singaporean nationality) He applied back in 2012 and only received his MR on 1st Oct 2014. He is also on this forum. Apparently SGVO is speeding up - I hope most of us will receive MRs soon by end 2014 . Stay tuned!

It costs SGD280 for each adult (including $70 for the chest xray alone!). For children i think about half of that.

Dear Dericate,I am also Manitoba PNP applicant. Did you asked them about RPRF,PCC,Picture request? They will send RPRF, PCC, Pic or will wait for further instruction? Thanks for sharing MPNP information.

Just wanted to share some info related to medical test expenses.

Doing medical in Saudi Arabia costs 1300 SAR which is around 26,650 BDT (around USD 350) for adults and around half of that amount for children. That's quite expensive as well.

Do you mean X-ray is a separated charge, not included in the entire package?

Filing a new application under new rules in 2015, inspite of applying in 2014

Hello Experts,

I am just thinking......

As we know, as it has been quite evident by now for 2014 applicants, the difference in application processing becomes noticeable the moment files move from CIO to respective visa offices around the world. Some are lucky to have their cases processed fast by offices that are known to be efficient. Other unluckly ones are stuck with slow offices.

For those whose cases belong to slow offices, would it be better off to submit new applications in 2015 when the new rules come in effect? Yes, the new rules will be quite different and we all know it. That calls for a separate discussion. But, what if I submitted/expressed interest in 2015? Could a candidate's 2014 and 2015 applications remain active concurrently, or would the 2014-application have to be withdrawn for the sake of the new one?
