Jenny and IshuRaj applied on May 10 and 15, 2013 respectively. So, looking at the current trend it looks like SGVO is looking into applications filed earlier in May 2013. Now the real question is, does a change in the ECAS status mean anything? Let's see how much longer do we have to wait till we receive our MRs.

NOC 2113, geo scientist, app filed in june 2013, file transferred to SGVO on 21st Sept, 2013, got MR this week. she applied from my consultant's office. I didn't met her. according to my consultant, she is working in a canadian company, so she got MR earlier.

Seems like SGVO is processing the 2013 applications in no particular order. An application from June gets MR prior to so many May applicants still awaiting MRs. Anyways, I have a mixed reaction towards their strategy. It's frustration mixed with a bit of hope.

Can anyone please confirm whether you can see the status of old application(s) that was/were previously refused on ECAS? When I log in, I can only see the "in process" status of my application that I submitted in May, 2014. I do not see anything about the application I had submitted in 2008.
Here is a bit of dust covered history:
I am not sure how many are aware, but, back in 2008, it was called the Simplified Application method whereby an applicant would be required to submit only forms and no supporting documents, directly to the responsible visa office. In November_2008, Ministrial Instructions came in effect for the first time that shortened the list of eligible NOC's and retroactively rendered some applications, submitted between February and November, ineligible for processing. Mine was one of those unfortunate ones as my NOC was no longer in the new list. In addition, sometime in a later year CIC began the job of returning thousands of applications without processing filed even before February_2008, as part of a move toward cleaning up a large backlog.
Why am I saying all that? It is because I need to get rid of the grim feeling I am having - wondering whether CIC treated my case as a refusal or something else.

Just an update regarding my sister-in-law's (Family class PR app). I submitted her PP on 11th Aug 14. Today she got the "Decision Made" on her ECAS.
Hopefully her PP will arrive within this week....
So SGVO seems working on post PPR applicant's case in parallel ....
