Check here at http://www.brta.gov.bd/index.php/international-driving-permit ; You have to do it from The Automobile Association of Bangladesh, 3B Outer Circular Road, Magbazar, Dhaka-1217. I heard, it is not given any value at all as it is not a licensing authority. Better, if you get a letter from BRTA - I heard some people arrange it and it get valued.
If anyone knows about it, please let us know. I am also eager to know on this.
Hello everyone,
I have been using bangladesh int driving permit for the past 4-5 years (I get a new one every year as it only comes with 1 year validity). I have used it in USA/UK/MALAYSIA/THAILAND with no problem. So it's a very useful thing. It looks like a passport with your pic and driving Liscence number in it. But make sure you have your bangladeshi drivers Liscence (in English) with you along with the int permit.
I usually get it done through my driver. What I usually need is:
1. Copy of passport
2. Copy of visa (any valid visa of any country will do)
3. Copy of bd drivers Liscence
4. 2 passport and 2 stamp photos
5. 6000-8000tk (depending on which agent you get it done through. My driver usually pays an agent and he does the job. I don't know if you directly submit to brta how much it will cost)
Hope this helps...oh and it can take 20-30 days to issue
