how you can be so sure about the number ? ? I don't think many were ready when the list was opened and more over one should have mechanical engineering degree, if they are showing experience on it.....and no one expected this noc will come out....I am planning to apply by end of june...so what u expect will it stay up until then ?

Dont ever think that people are not ready. People are getting ready even to apply under NOC 7216 like before. So. many Mech Engineers had their IELTS and docs in hand only thing remaining is ECA. June end is too much bro. I wish you to apply atleast by the end of next week. U might have few chances. It would be better if CIC had given atleast 500 quota for some hot NOC's like 2174, 2147, 0211, 1112, 2131, 2132, 3142 and 200 for some occupations which doesn't even fill for ages like 2154, 3141, 3143, 3214, 3217 etc...

Instead, I would say that it should have been based on skills shortage and demand...like 1112, 2147 & 2174 should have been given more qouta since there is a lot of demand in this field.....

Even I was not aware of the fact that Mechanical Engineer would be included this time...Applied for ECA on 24th April, got my ECA on 4th May and sent my package with relevant documents on 10th May....20 days time is enough to prepare and send all documents, so I think NOC 2132 might have got filled by now...

Please confirm, how you applied your ECA on 24th April? As per my understanding, ECA details are suppose to be send through university. We ourself can't send the attested transcript.

I am only struggling to get transcript from university for applying for ECA. Can you please guide?

Well I can't pre-pone the application as I am still due to receive my WES and IELTS score card, and I should say I am the unluckiest one among all...having the sufficient degree(2132) and I gave IELTS in the begining of the year and scored 21 points in it...but, I was still short of 2 points to reach 67...and eventually I got demotivated with the delays from CIC with the release of the list,even listened to BS assumptions from a BS friend saying fsw is impossible..... but some where I had a little faith, mechanicals are a definite shortage in canada....still I didn't re-sit......immediately or I failed to score enough in IELTS on first try.....now I can't do anything else other than to wait until they arrive......Fingers crossed...IF NOT FSW, I DONNO WHAT ELSE TO DO......

off course you are right, 7216 was a hot one last time.....but it didn't mentioned about the specific degree requirement as of now for 2132...where one should have mechanical engineering degree......and I don't think 200 visitors would all be different people.....I am not saying YES there is lot of chance....I know it'll be late by the end of june....only faith is what I keep on moving with....it is NOW OR NEVER...

Its not like that....I personally visited my college and got the transcripts the very same day in 3 hrs since my college is deemed university
Get ur degree xerox copy attested by ur college and tell them to put WES application form along with transcript and degree copy in one envelope. Later college will seal the envelope and u can send the envelope by urself...

Can you please elaborate what BS mean? Education is not at all important for Canada. Work exp is the imp criteria. If we have Job roles/responsibilities/duties that match a particular NOC for a minimum period of 1 year and above we can apply under that occupation. If your Engineering is Civil and you worked in Mech you are eligible to apply under Mech Engineers. So, in the past some Mech Engineers applied for NOC 7216 when there is no NOC 2132 in occupation list but this time luckily we had our own NOC 2132. Considering all these reasons I said NOC 2132 is very hot and no surprise if cap got filled up already. Moreover Even people who wish to apply for AUSTRALIA might change there minds and apply for Canada due to less processing times and fee. If you dont mind can you plz share your profile. Thank you.

its BS for BULL SHIT......didn't want to sound rude on this forum. Well, If only Experience was their criteria, they would have mentioned it just like previous year's....they need mechanical engineers because once you approach Canadian employers and say them you have a computer science degree but yet you have job experience as a mechanical engineer fulfilling 2132.....I doubt you'll every hear back from them....same is with CIC.
Everyone has their own priorities, emigrating to AUS is completely different from Canada...If one has decided to plan for AUS, they won't easily turn back and processing times or the fee would do anything in changing one's mind, its about the VISA which is needed, and Australia has MORE SUCCESS RATE when compared to other nations.
