Applies to immigrants too. Your account will be inactive and froze. After landing you have to activate it(before 6 months of account creation).

I just wanted to know after they give an account no, would one be able to transfer funds to scotiabank account through an Indian account ( doing RTGS ) ? ?

"Deposits are accepted only after you've arrived in Canada and activated your account."

The link has all the details. Contact them if you have further questions.

+1 for sharing the report.....

It seems u will have to wait a bit more....

Yup, so it seems.

From your report, it seems your case is closer to completion. Have you already been requested the documents mentioned there? Do you think it's worth it to raise a CSE if the VO misses eligibility due date? (I'm thinking not, but wonder if others have tried and how they fared doing so...)

After looking thru CAIPS notes again I have found that my criminality and security checks had a due date of April 8th 2014.To date eligibility, security and criminality checks have not been completed.

Thanks a lot. For the minimum, I checked with the Sydney Visa Office (Australia). This is what they replied "You may enter Canada with less than 6 months validity on your passport. However you must exit Canada before your passport expires".
I think it would be better for me to get a new passport and then send it for the visa.

No brother, I have not requested for any additional docs, although few Singapore applicants (later of my timeline) have been requested for additional docs.....

I dont think u need to raise CSE for the absence of due date.....

There is nothing but to wait .....CSE will not affect anything to them -which is my observation...:)

Good luck..

Hi,

Hope someone could help me out.

I have my birth cert in native language. I tried searching around Singapore for translating company, and they told me that what they include will be a "declaration by translator" stating their name, registration #, contact details and certifying that they have translated it true to the original copy. It is not an affidavit since they will not sign it in front of a lawyer... Will this be accepted? 2 of the translation company I inquired, state that this is what they do for canada immigration and that they have never received a rejection for it...

Appreciate your thoughts on this. Since you have gone through this already. Thanks!
