Fellows,
Got my GCMS notes today. Ordered through visafile.info a month ago, I can highly recommend their service. Was pleasantly surprised that CIC released them after only four weeks, was expecting the usual six weeks/45 days. Apparently CIC itself is working pretty fast these days, unlike some local VOs...
Interesting highlights:
- The report was ran on June 16th (the same day visafile.info applied), so the time seems to be spent mostly reviewing/cleansing it
- All assessments are marked as not started. The elegibility assessment is due on Aug 8th (one year from PER date), but all admissibilities (security, criminality, medicals, etc.) are due on 2 sept 2013 - I don't think this is realistic as it would have been about two weeks after the AOR, don't really think the local VO could have pulled it off so quickly
- Notes corresponding to PER review were more or less in line with what I expected. Got 68 points. Expected, and got, 0 points for adaptability. However I got only 9 points for experience - they only took into count the one year within the past decade where I worked under NOC 2174, not the other 9 years under other 0/A/B NOCs (this used to be heavily debated here
) But again this was more or less expected and self-calculated points showed it was enough, thank God indeed it was
Am now half-jokingly wondering whether raising a CSE about those Sept '13 due dates would prod the VO to work faster or instead make me come across as annoying and demanding, thus lessening my chances

In all seriousness, I was already intending to wait until early August before raising a CSE... Will enjoy a couple more busy summer weeks before taking further action.
