@PSN ...I have got my DM on June 2nd & PPR on 9th june ... we send it on 12th june and received it back on today.

I just got reply of NDVO for additional docs submission for my new born child.I am required to submit following two drafts.

1. draft one: processing fee $30 for re-issuance of visa(total $90 for me, my wife and my kid)
2.draft two:processing fee for child($150)

please tell me following things for making these 2 drafts.

in whose favor, payable at where and which currency?

As per CIC, processing fee should be payable to the "Receiver General for Canada." and in Canadian funds only

As per http://www.canadainternational.gc.ca/india-inde/visas/fees-frais.aspx?lang=eng $150 is equivalent to INR 8200 and $30 is INR 1650...so can i make draft 1 of INR 4950 and draft 2 of INR 8200?also as these docs are asked by NDVO so can i make both drafts payable at delhi? but initially processing fee draft was made payable at canada?

Please be doubly sure for INR equivalency.. rest is all good. You can make 2 drafts .;..1 for visa issuance fee and another for your new born..

i believe you need visa re issuance fee for you and your spouse only and not for your newborn.. pls check with VFS... DDs can of course be made in INR and payable at DElhi

Hye bachucanada.I am not able to send you a private message of my number to add me on whats app?can u test mess me so i can reply.it might work :)Thank you.

Its been almost Four month now since processing start. also NDVO guys done physical verification on 11 June at work place, all went good, but still no indication of mr,ppr from NDVO.

Dont know why NDVO is so biased to some applicant ??? ???

They don't answer of query raised. So, GCMS raised on 3 jun 2014

Come on NDVO this is not fair :o :o :o

Congratulations Applee for a very fast processing, i believe its is just shy of six months for your complete application time... anyways, its cases like yours that gives us some insight on the workings of a visa office. I was not expecting a DM before a PPR from NDVO... so now i know anything is possible with NDVO... just keep your faith

THREE STAR CONGRATS !!!
great to see your settlement.
could you please suggest us any Canadian insurance companies.
To be honest I don't have much idea about local insurance companies as I did not use their services. May be you can try standard life insurance but not sure.

Alright....as i am about to complete my first month in canada having landed end of May all alone....i think its time to update this lovely forum. Good things first-- grabbed a cool IT job for 80k in my first interview. First couple of weeks busy settling and getting necessary local documents and later got hospitalized for 2 days in toronto due to high fever and fukked up 600$, hope i will get back from my insurance company in india!!. And trust me doctors in india are much better and here in canada doctors are just after money and nothing else. So every body landing here get your medical insurance without fail. But one thing what i have learnt is instead of getting insurance from india, better take it in canada right after landing for 90 day period as its always better to have local insurance as claiming and getting money back is much easy if you take from a local insurance company.Did some reading for 4 days and applied on indeed website and job is all done in 4 days.

Coming to jobs, IT jobs are very easy to grab here, and call center jobs are also easy. However i see other professions specially the regulated ones i would recommend do good analysis and have proper network to grab the job as they are little time taking to grab and they may take 3 to 4 months to get a good job. Toronto is good market for IT jobs specially , and i heard in vancouver its very difficult even to get a part time job....may be because its summer now so all students grab the part time jobs or may be because we indians are mostly doctors or engineers which makes us look over qualified for part time jobs...so people prefer local students.

Its a beautiful country, provided we talk to people and we are certain to win here if we are confident. There will be times which makes us feel low but its all worth it as it teaches how to fight back in life and trust me as the days keep going this country looks so lovely with the people here and of course the beautiful girls and night life is really cool.

To conclude dont get greedy when you think about taking health insurance for first 90 days, take it without fail. And secondly be very confident when landing here as we will fight all alone in the initial days and people are very helpful here provided we talk.

Good luck to you all and god bless!! waiting to see our forum hitting 5000 pages soon!!

hello
nice to see your post about your settlement
wishes
