Out of box thought, Good.

But CIC is not just a dept to receive your n no. of copies. If your first doc. is returned then they will give a UCI no. you have to quote that UCI no. on your second appl.

Otherwise you may be treated that you are hiding your earlier appl. and submitting 2nd.

Once your doc. reached to CIC, they will verify and allocate UCI. All your further appl. has to be indicated the UCI no. Otherwise CIC will discovery your earlier appl.(s)

Unfortunately many of the returned (incomplete) appl. reported that they got UCI no.

UCI is given as soon as your application is opened and the data entered into the CIC database. This is irrespective of whether your application is complete or not. I received my application back with UCI written by hand on the form. My application was returned due to having subbited old sched 3 form. Later I applied again, and this time again it was returned but due to cap having reached. UCI again same. Third time i applied with that UCI. I wrote it myself. And accepted!

my process is going like this:

1. application sent from india on 28th feb 2014
2. recieved in nova scotia on 9th march
3. Got AOR on 10th april
4.Request for medical and rprf and police checks and biodata request on 5th may

its going quite fast,,anyone can suggest how long will that take for ppr

Why didnt you checked calender before making FOOOOLLLL of others? 9th March was sunday. Was CIO working on Sunday. I dont think. May be courier man delivered your application to CIO neighbours on Sunday.....

Write your name and application number on back of dd with pencil which is a good practise
Send a copy of MR/RPRF Request letter along with original passports

In which Name we need to make RPRF draft ?

"Canadian High Commission " or Receiver General for Canada"
RPRF in Canadian dollar (490) or Indian Rupees 28900.

I recommend you to write following on the envelop instead of UCI and application no:

1. Federal Skilled Workers 2013
2. NOC Category
3. NOC Code
4. Full Name
5. Application Received Date

Really appreciate if somebody could help me out!
My medicals were done in Feb 2014 and the same has been updated in the ECAS. However, till date i haven't been contacted by NDVO. I have sent a letter asking them for the next course of action but still no response. What should i do now?

Congratulations on the third line in ECAS.

No news from CIC is indeed good news. One of the most difficult thing in this whole process is the "wait". Be rest assured that your application is under normal processing and if NDVO needs anything from you they will get in touch with you. Processing times vary from case to case.

I would advise you to relax (though I understand it is difficult to do that) and keep yourself busy with the preparations. The more you are informed and prepared, the easier it will be for you after you arrive in Canada.

Please submit a formal application before your documents are scheduled to arrive at WES. Without an application on file, WES will be unable to process your academic records or confirm that they have been received. My query is what application are they talking about? Is it transcripts requested form that can be downloaded from the website and has to be filled up by applicant and educational certificate issuing authority ?And I have mentioned WES reference no. on the back side of demand draft. Is it Okay?

While the UCI is important, you can apply without it, even if you know it. Your details will pick it up and they will just reassign the same to you.

1. As you mentioned the important documents you need to reattach are Original IELTS and ECA.
2. Some people send the originals of their employment reference letters and keep copy. That you will need to reattach.
3. If your documents are in English or French already, that is half the issues solved. Imagine if you need to translate your birth certificate etc
4. PCC is the least of your worries, you can send that later

However, if you put all together, I think it is a lot less stressful to take the time to check all documents and review one last time before sending.

If you are applying with your spouse, after one has put everything together, have the other person double check all again with the intention of looking for "silly/little faults" that could cause sleepless nights of agony. If you are single, have a trusted friend check. Put all items into the packet one by one ticking them off with the checklist and head off to the post/courier office

Hi Guys,

Can we take CDs and DVDs with us to Canada...means CDs with software (xp, vista, etc) or is there any problem. One of my frnd has so many CDs and he is leaving this week to BC.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.
