Dear Experts / Seniors / Applicants from Dubai ,

Please Help me in filling the following details in Generic Application form .

I am Presently in UAE , UAE with my family and have a residence visa ( similar to visa for all working expatriates in uae which expires after every 2 or 3 years) . Please let me know the following details .

1, Box 4 - Immigration office requested for processing in United Arab Emirate ? IS Immigration office same Visa Office .. in that case which office i need to specify ?

Specify New Delhi if you are comfortable submitting your original passport at New Delhi at a later visa office processing stage otherwise specify London if you have resided in UAE for more than one year.

2, Box 10 - Current Country of residence - UAE , but Status ? ( there is no option for specifying " Resident " as specified in our Visa , should we specify " Worker " - ( if worker then can only show present 3 years validity ) ; or as "Other " and in the Other box - as " Resident " with no date details )
For you, Worker, from first day in UAE to Residence permit expiry date.
For your Family, Other/Resident, from first day in UAE to RP expiry date

3,Should we Mark by Pen " Not Applicable " in all the boxes which we are not filling ?
You can mark "N/A" by black ink pen or if possible by typing.

4, National Identity Document - Should we mention Emirates ID card Details or Indian ID card ( issued from Election commission of India ) or Specify as NO.
Specify "No"

5, In Education / Occupation details for Children of 7 years of age - Current Occupation ? and Indented Occupation ? - Should we specify Not applicable or Studying ??
Current occupation and Intended occupation for children: N/A

6, After Typing the From should we take print out in Laser jet or normal .
Better laser jet

7, After printing should we enter any boxer which we left empty as " not applicable " using Pen?
You can as already discussed earlier

8, Is there any rule for signing the documents only using Black ink pen ?
Better use black ink pen

9,Elementary / Primary schooling from 1st to 10th or should we consider 2 years of KG done before also ?? .
Elementary and secondary education is from 1st to 12th, divide accordingly

Thanks in Advance ,

Jdn

Thank u very much Rawdah ,

looking forward for more support .

Hi to all,

I have a valid Visitor Visa to Canada until Sept. 2014. I might renew my passport on July, 2014. Question: Can I still use my valid Visitor Visa stamped on my cancelled passport once I got my renewed passport?

Regards!

U need to staple the new passport and the old passport which carries Valid Visa when you travel.

It is better to have it done. Maybe you may require it in future for job/study.

THanks a lot Rawdah

Folks I want to know where lawyers add value (if hired) for FSW application. I see they charge upto 2500$ for application preparation, so need to know where exactly they add value in the process.

Many of us here applied successfully without a lawyer and used this forum for all the queries\doubts.
Personally I see no added value in hiring a lawyer, besides 2500$ is lot of money...

Great to know. Worse, one of them said you can apply without IELTS score initially, which I don't find substanciated anywhere on CIC website.

The only place I would need help is for the past 5 years I am running my own company, so how do I document the work experience. Any advice ?

Congrats hjawad21, chem_miss, Nimmi, priya83 :)

I think you can include income statements, contracts as well as references from your clients.
But there must be someone more experienced here who can answer in more details.
