Quick question from DM recepients, are people who did not attend CIIP getting DM in normal time frame? We did not opt for CIIP program. Response appreciated.

I got call to attend CIIP session but due to busy schedule I did not attend and said that I will attend next month..But I do not think it has to do anything with our processing. But yes patterns can be inferred...those who did not attend CIIP and still got there DMs can shed more light on this.

CIIP Session is not mandatory.. It is optional. It has no effect on DM . I know many people who have not attended the session and got DM..

I agree, but I have come to know from many that it is a very useful session and that it helps a lot for the journey ahead in Canada...

Hi! I submitted my application for FSWP last august 2013. But until now I haven't received any feedback about it. When are we going to know the result whether I am accepted or not?

Syrs email CIC asking for the status. Also depends on ur NOC..few of NOCs were filled by August. All of August applicants have got a PER or their applications have been returned due to various reasons..check the spreadsheet!

Also check your spam folder as a lot of applicants have got their PER in spam.

Good luck!

Hi guys,

Is there published schedule somewhere on the web about CIIP sessions along with the locations? Thanks.

Do we need to fill the PR Card form (IMM 5444) form before landing in Canada or the PR Card form will be given at the Canada airport Immigration office at POE(Point of entry) ??

Please reply...

Thanks !!

Hi ,

Everyone in this thread please enter your details of NSNP application on the form in my signature.

Thank you.

What Happens next

To process permanent resident applications, CIC will:

review your application to make sure it’s complete,
determine if you are eligible to apply to become a permanent resident of Canada,
tell you when your application has been put into processing,
send you instructions on how to complete a medical exam, if you did not get your medical before sending in your application,
perform a security screening, to make sure all applicants do not pose a risk to the safety and security of Canadians,
determine if you need to attend an interview, and
inform you of the decision made on your application.

Folks with experience with returned applications, PLEASE HELP!

How did you guys find out your application was returned/being returned?
What did your ECAS status show while you were waiting for your returned application or had received it?
Is there a way to find out why the application was returned prior to receiving it back?

My application was received by CIC back in January but no response (not even CC charge), my ECAS shows nothing, I am suspecting my application has been returned for some reason.

Thanks a ton

I sent an email to them and CIC replied that your application is returend but i recieved my package back after 45 days

Hello everyone...it's been a looooong time...and finally I have an update on my application from SGVO even since the issue of PER 7months ago!!!

We received and email from SGVO today asking for a notarized copy of our marriage certificate to be send to them within 60 days.

So does this mean they have actually started processing our application? Because I still don't see the second line on ECAS...but I am hoping it's finally some good news to flow from SGVO as atleast they are looking at my application and it's not rotting on some corner! :D

Cheers everyone
