LVO Interview

I was interviewed at Embassy of Canada in Abu Dhabi.

Here is how it went:

1. Checked my passport. Not my family's passports even though the letter said I should bring them along.

2. Collected updated forms. Schedule A (I had to sign again in the interviewer's presence), Additional Family Information (IMM5406E) and Travels ((IMM 5562).

3. Checked my Masters and Bachelors degrees. Not spouse's. Didn't check my CFA charter. Returned the degrees on the spot.

4. Asked for my original employment agreements and contracts.

5. Asked about my job responsibilities in my last two jobs. My best work, what I like about my job, etc. Returned the original employment documents on the spot.

6. Checked my police reports. Returned them on the spot.

7. I was informed that I have been given a positive evaluation and that I should expect expect the medical request within a month. Once the medical reports have been received and background checks completed, I will be asked to send my family's and my passports in so that a visa can be stamped therein.

The whole process took about 30 minutes.

Dear Members,

I got the second line updated in Ecas which is 'WE HAVE STARTED UR PROCESING ON 5 FEB'

But guys no MR email till now, really making me nervous. What would be the possibility?

I don't live in Abu Dhabi so I did not need a PCC from Abu Dhabi.

All police certificates were checked, for me and for my wife.

Asking for a passport means that visa should be given. But there are no guarantees.
