hey i have one query....can we travel on PR visa(Canada single entry) from India to Canada via USA through a connecting flight without any stopover...do we need transit visa for USA?

I suggest you to send all the documents that your got from your company to NDVO along with the proof that the company you worked gonna close done permanently from feb. This is important becoz in case if they do bg check(insite or telephonic) it will cause difficulty in your app processing... Enclose a covering letter along with the documents with explanation. If you rejoined in some other company give the the proof of the same too...

So another week gone!! No MR :-\ alas and the ecas is of no use showing the status update before or after u receive email notification or pp!! There is no way I can know wat the status is after four months of aor. Cse.. Again no response..frustrating! I am thinking of publishing a notification in news paper to catch the attention of chc. if they have doubts, y dont they even call for an interview or ask more documents or even say the file is rejected! Going through one of the hardest moments :-[

Same here especially when applicants who submitted 1 month after you get MR mail... the only thought that comes to mind is ... "whats the reason for putting my file on hold??? may be they disagree with points calculation done by CIC in canada ... may be this .... may be that...ohh FFS!!! " : :

For USA you need transit visa but for U.K no transit visa is required if you continue your journey via London heathrow airport.

I received MR, RPRF & PPR MAIL TODAY. The problem is that i am in uk and they clearly stated that i have to provide indian mailing address to receive my passport back.

My first concern is that can i post my indian passports in courier from uk to india (NDVO) ?
Second if they deliver it to my home address in Ahmedabad, can my family send my passports back to me by post ?

i would suggest do not send passport via courier. if your relative or friend who is going to india than send your passport with them.
if someone will come back from ahmedabad to uk than bring your passport with them.

living in any country without passport is not advisable. check with indian embassy in uk , tell them you want to send passport at chc new delhi via currier or friends/relatives,they will tell you fact.

internation currier wont accept you passport for delivery and thats the reason NDVO asked you indian address,what in case if chc keep your passport for long time or what if your friend or relative loss the passports..you will be in big trouble. you have to do Medical test in UK and come back to india once your Medical test report reach NDVO. go to NDVO personally and tell them that you want to return UK ,show them tickets they will stamp visa and deliver to ahmedabad in a week.

this is possible and one of my friend did the same process in 2011.
