Friends,
a question not much related to this forum

Is it wise to quit government job in India for Canadian PR ?

You need not be wise to decide on this :) :), I wd leave PM's post in India as nothing is stable here..

I think weather wise BC will be better than hamilton. There is lot of competition around Hamilton (GTA) area for each job so you need to be prepared for it if you planning to come to Hamilton. If you are in process engineering or mining then Ontario is good in general. but apart from natural resources processing jobs there are not many jobs available for mechanical engineers.

thanks gaurav1182,
What in case of mechanical maintenance engineer with more than 10 years work experience in India in process industry?

Very True SAP...Well Said.

+1 for ya.

Good Morning All members of this forum.

THIS IS MIRROR!

when I get tense I just read "Medical monsoon started New Delhi" topic, members over there are waiting since 3.8 years and getting visa now, when I see their cases I feel very lucky considering my case in fast track. we have just waited for 7 months and they have 44 months.

I praise my self when I see past, All of us were in too much in tension and praying god to get PER! all of us wanted to fall in cap to make place. All of us put efforts for IELTS and waited IELTS score,

then Ran for degree attestation to university (some might have travel different city, some(who were statying abroad) might have manage by giving this task by friends, relative). Again hard waiting for WES report.

prepared forms, reviews hell number of times!, follow-up with employer for letter, ran for attestation&photos.

but again during this period there was one question in mind, what about my case? will I fall in cap? will I fall in cap?,Have I made my files properly? people who hired consultant giving call many times in a day or visiting them many times in a day for file preparation!

we were expecting WES report in time, again hell number of issue in delivery.I face too! though avail international Currier service.

after sending file, check delivery status and then KILLING PERIOD TO GET PER. THEN AOR, AND NOW MR AND MEMBER WHO GOT AOR ARE NOW WAITING FOR DM, and DM PEOPLE WANT SUCCESSFUL LANDING AND JOB!

I think this will continue , once we all get job there then we will be in different requirement , say house, car etc.

There is nothing wrong in it but this is part of life and will continue but thing is what is the reason behind WORRY then????

Guys need an opinion here. No signs of MR still.Mean while I have an invite to apply for Aus Pr. it expires by 10th mar.considering that NDVO is notorious in delaying some applications indefinitely without any response, should I go ahead and apply for Aus. The cost of visa for 4 in my family would be 7500 usd compared to 1100 cad I need to pay for canada.once i pay for Aus I would have to let go canada option, even though my love for canada.

I just can't wait indefinitely as it is becoming difficult in my current work and I had refused some good opportunities thinking of my plan to leave India by July this year. May be I am complicating the situation too much... And planning based on things out of my control... But am in this predicament now

Faizzz,

My friend..............your MR is on the verge.........hang on mate !!

& believe me, I havent seen a more flexible guy than you..........a person who has made up his mind to go to Canada..........how can you flip flop to Australia............its a completely different ball game..........although the weather is better........culture---not so sure ! Although my MR has come......... I cant get ready to face the change..........although I am gearing up for the uncertain........leaving my job here......along with my wife's job..........really difficult....!! I can really draw inspiration from your guts....!!

Sometimes logical choices dont turn out to be wise ones...........even though NDVO delays your MR by a couple of weeks.....you still have time to prepare for Aus PR since date is Mar 10......... I would suggest waiting till 18 Feb. Easy for me to say...........equally difficult for you to stay patient and execute.

Still........if this helps !!

Regards,
Mav

hi faizz....if I'm in your place I will just wait for mr and nothing else.....australia is a good place...but Canada pr is always powerful and Canadian visa is most popular....lot of may applicants who waited like U got last week mr as U saw....so just hang on and don't get distracted....
everyone more or else even after getting mr are not peaceful as every stage is a hurdle....u R just 1m behind the finish line....no body is happy with their jobs here.....the prime reason behind our pr journey.....so hang on for couple of weeks....u and bhfsw2174 will hear good news soon

Thanks buddy! It does make sense to wait for some more time. Not going to loose much. The flexibility I have us due to my current organization.i have an equal chance to get a job either in Aus or canada in that entity. Once again thanks for your time..hope for the best and good luck for ur DM.

Dear let me explain there is two conditions
1) if your all docs are perfectly correct (genuine) than its only medical which can stop your visa (that you must be knowing if any medical problem) else there you will get visa for sure
2) if your docs are not genuine (i have seen many in to the forum have applied with wrong doc, i do not prefer this) than its ur luck

What is the probability of making Visa after PER according to your experience (in percentage)....

Those of you trying for Canada from long back please answer becoz I think you guys have more experience than the newbies....
