I dont think so you have to send IMM0008ENU_2D form along with your passport update. But for safe side you can contact with LVO through CSE.

Thanks sachoudary, I think it is better to wait....

+1 for your help.

Hi guys...need your advice

My son is a US citizen by birth and holds a valid US passport. His passport will expire exactly in a year from now. Would it be advisable to go for his passport renewal now. The concerns I have are as follows;

1. I don't have MR yet and not sure when will it come.
2. Passport renewal may take time. if MR/ PPR comes in between, it will hold-up the process.
3. If MR comes after passport renewal, I will have to inform NDVO. This may delay the process.
4. If i don't renew the passport until the PP gets stamped (whenever that happens), I fear that I may not have enough time on my son's passport as may be required by CHC. Not sure what will happen then.

Any help that can bring clarity to my thoughts is much appreciated. Thanks.

Another doubt I have is will my son need a PR to enter Canada owing to his US citizenship?

You can fly via any country as long as you have valid passport with the visa issued (one way) and the COPR documents.

Thanks Nova21

another 2263 from manila vo, jacamarnat has got interview call. is it a trend?

I guess so. Almost all of us in Manila VO (who's part of the Manila VO thread at least) got a request for interview...

hi
from your timeline it seems anytime you will get MR & PPR form now
as per general trend of FSW2013 I feel everyone will have VISA latest by july/august.

if you proceed renual of your son's passport the process it self will required some time and if you get mr ppr in between you need to wait (I dont know how much time US passport renual required). and you need to inform NDVO about the fresh passport if till date you dont get your MR (rare chance for not getting mr/ppr if passport renual required more than 1-2 month)

Hi just send photocopies with cover letter, no need to attest the passport copy. I updated my kids passport with cover letter only.
