Guys , i received mail from bank in toronto where my dd was issued , they said it has not been encashed till 20.01.2014 - i m dec 2 applicant NOC 2263

As i have seen in forum that 11 dec DD is cashed , it means. I out of race now??

Any other dec applicant got dd encashed??

dont worry my bank stills says an hour ago that my dd has not been encashed so it means banks are updated a bit late

Aami i understand - local bank is updated but late, but this mail i received is from the branch whose draft is issued from toronto - not my local bank

And they gave latest update..

This is what worrying me most..

It will cost you peanuts compared to whole application cost. Therefore, if you get it before interview, it will certainly help you but if you don't, you will lose nothing.

Will do that by today, not sure if i will be ale to get before the interview date (27th FEB). :

I really don't think your DD will be encashed cos its not yet 2 mths that you applied, you should wait another 2-3 wks. I think it takes well over 2mths for those with DD to get any update. Moreso, there have not been any update in the caps figures for a while now meaning that those getting PER mail now are those already in the 244 figure for NOC 2263. I got my PER mail exactly 21/2mths after my application reached CIC. So just relax and keep praying

I don't think so that telephone call is the way to communicate; every communication must be in written, either email or post. Even if they need to call you, it will come from London not Abu Dhabi followed by a written communication/confirmaiton.

Good to hear that though, Did anyone call you or you received an email from Abu dhabi?

Kindly clear it for me whether they called you? because last night I had a miscall from Abu Dhabi but i just ignored and deleted it because not expecting anything there.

I don't think so it is possible. There may be no harm or affect on their application by making such request but it may irritate the VO which could end-up with a tough interview.

Dear All,

I suggest you to request the LVO to conduct the interview in the country where you are based. There is no harm in requesting, it will also save you the travelling cost

I think all LVO applicants have received interview call letter email from the following email id

NDVO is visiting physically to verify work experience & other application data while LVO is inviting applicants for the interviews. I feel that interview is a kind of replacement of physical checks as it is not easy for LVO to visit physically to verify work experience & other application data of different applicants coming from different countries.
