The NOC you use to apply does not affect your future in Canada. You are free to apply under NOC 2174 and decide to be a carpenter or a pharmacist after you land there. And yes, this is the objective of everyone here, get through the FSWP process.

I don't agree with you in this regard. Buddy.......... I know I can apply for any NOC Of Engg Manager and can end up as cab driver.........

But my point is what If someone want to practice in regulated professions like engineering.....
Hope you got my point now....:)

You can apply for a professional engineer registration in any province even before you apply for a PR Visa. They won't ask you any details of your FSWP application.

I know what all you said......... Without PR getting registration is tedious job broda....not only in Canada....but in any professional institute around globe allows anyone to get registered also....... Anyways,,,,, Let me know your experience in job hunt once you land there......

Good luck:)

Hi,

Do not worry NDVO = Colombo VO. The experience behind me myself,a person known to me,a person known from the forum(if you can see old Colombo VO thread please read "Bandara" Who got the answer from VO).I had been instructed to go for courts but did not do it because of the cost.I am a mere reporter no an expert. But i have realized that the all CIC/CIO thing are paper works but total authority(given by law) is with in the visa officers in respective VO(clearly states in rejection letters-I am not satisfied....).According to JR V O decision will not be reverted but asked to review the file again and You cant appeal to Ministers"about a decision of a visa officer"

Guys see the kind of sincerity of a member towards our forum... I just quoted his name the reply came with in few hours.....I appreciate your concern to address the problem that is irritating ur co members brother....In the future if any applicants get rejected after MR we can take advice from you....Many of us excluding me can put the money and challenge the visa office decision (I am not so wealthy).... :) :) :) :)...... and can move ahead incase any uncertainty happens....

Thank you

+1

I'm not a PR but I'm a member at Apega, I just need to write an exam to upgrade the registration and I'm planning to do that as soon as I land. I encourage everyone to do the same from their home countries because the process can take fom six months to a year.

Hi All,

I am back after almost 2 months, I was buzy sorting my issues of sending Passport to CPPO. Finally I got my passport stamped yesterday.

Here is my story:

I'm 13th May applicant from India and applied under 2174 category, but unlike others in India I got my medicals, PCC request from CPPO and later even the Passport request from CPPO. Here, I was in trouble, cos its illegal to send Indian passports outside country via courier. I sent email to CPPO explaining the situation and requesting to allow getting passport stamped at CHC India. Unfortunately I sent email to a wrong email address, there was a small hyphen mistake. I realized it after 2 weeks, then again I sent email, but this time on correct email as I got auto reply that they usually send just to confirm that email has been received.

I did not got any reply on for next 20 days. Till that time I was calling New Delhi visa office, CHC India, CIC but the only reply that I got was, "send email to CPP-O and they will reply back". I always had another option of sending passport with someone close travelling to Canada. Luckily some days later, one of my friend was travelling to Ottawa and I gave my passport to him along with an authorization letter stating that I am authorizing my friend to carry my passport to\from Canada for Visa stamping. Also I sent " Use of Representative form"at cic-telecentre-contact-rep @ cic.gc.ca mentioning my friend as my representative and the local address where I want to receive my passport back after stamping. Yesterday I got my Visa stamped at my friend's residence. Few weeks later, another friend is coming back to India and he will be getting my passport.

So, people who are in similar situation have the option of sending passport to CPPO through someone close travelling. But before that send email to CPPO asking to get Visa stamped at CHC India. I was unlucky in this regard, but many ppl got reply after 2-3 weeks and they got their Visa stamped in India.

Hope this might be useful for some one.

All the best to rest of the guys waiting for next step.

Congrats XBOX7, Happy Landing :)

Noph..... uci number is generated just after your application reach to cic....It doesnt matter your application is rejected or cap is filled or you through the process....but file number is generated only if all your documents are correct and cic ready forward it to your local VO for further prcossing.... file number is generated during you PER..... hope i cleared your doubt.... :) :) :)
