I doubt that, I am of the opinion that first the BG'C are done then the VO issues medicals.... why they would need a minimum of 2 months just to send the MR email with forms.......please share your views on this

Dear, What they check in Background Check and how they check??

they check the genuineness of the profile that is it . and not all cases ,only such which have some unclear figures or facts .

dont worry , they aren't free enough to run behind you like a jaasoos ;D ;D

so relax , n wait for your turn

Colombo vo.. once they get the file do a check on documents... if they feel some information like past history missing, request for it, once they get it. They send the request for the pr, mr, rprf fee.. once the mr completed its updated in ecas in ard 10days. For detail checking or background cheking... people are in que... at what time our file transfer to que... after the mr... or all document sumitted... but worst case we can guess after all the documents sumitted and mr is compleeted... how long we have to stay in the que :-( , ? ...

Hi friends, I have finally submitted my medicals, passports, RPRF and PCC as requested by NDVO. Just wanted to know how much time is usually taken by NDVO?

But nova21 in ur case Colombo vo didn't ask for passport???
NDVO asked for pp as well... Wat would NDVO do with so many passports, if they are yet to do BG checks...
Can't say unless someone reports decision made or BG check(for those who submitted their Passports)

Colombo VO dont ask passport along with MR..
According to the forum Indian VO ask PP along with MR...

Until I got my GCMS I was thinking they had done BG check before they sent MR...But Notes say - Eligibility is Pending

In my case they verified IELTS & Education and Sri Lankan police report as well..then they sent the MR & RPRF..
The GCMS dont say any checking about work experience.

You are correct. they do the BG check first then MR..but that check mean document check (Experience, IELTS,Education)
after the MR they do 2nd type BG check which include security & criminality check.. just my opinion..may be seniors know well

Not exactly,I have seen Colombo VO starts medicals subject to other clearance(BG etc) enabling all applicants to go panel phy. Other thing according to my understanding ,SL law does not permit to keep someone passport and mail or courier. Therefore when all ok they request passport morning and hours of time stamp visa

I too need advice on this topic. I am based in Gujarat. and how to send the passports and other docs to NDVO? through courier or India speedpost? my consultant says he prefers indiapost over the courier. speed post takes 4 days from here to new delhi , and my due date of submission for docs is 2nd feb 2014. please seniors, advice me. I lost my uk pcc in post, so i requested the 2nd copy and got it by courier. just today I got it. so i am worried about india speedpost.
