A general question...

Does anyone know the inflow of the total number of applications that CIO gets... Completed or incomplete, how many applications might be reaching CIO during a particular year...?

Hello!

I see that at the moment (Dec 25, 2013) there are 154 complete applications received under the NOC 2134 Chemical Engineering. Is there a chance for me now? Can I still send my application or is too late?
You should send it. I guess even January applicants have a fair chance of making it.

Hi Admins,

I got PCC/Medical/RPRF request on 22 December.

Please update in sheet.

I recieved two mails on 21st Dec & other two mails on 22 Dec evening which contained PDF file named Request letter.

This request letter states my name and other attachements are two separate medical forms with name of my wife & myself.

I don't have separate request letter in the name of my wife for PCC and Police officer is asking letter in the name of my wife as I got for myself.

Is it possible that they sent same request letter twice by mistake for PCC with only my name.

I have two separate forms for MR with name of my wife & I myself.

They are firm that I will not get PCC done for my wife without such request letter.

What should I do now to resolve this.

AFAIK, PCCs does not require any kind of request letter. Many of us got our PCCs even before sending our application packages; there can be no question of request letter.
BTW, are you getting your PCC from police station or PSK? Which city?

Anyway, doesn't your request letter read "PCC FOR YOU AND YOUR SPOUSE"? Can you please post the content of the letter removing application nos and other confidential details?

It doesnt specify explicitly about my spouse.

Not surprisingly, I've noticed this earlier as well. All the letters of the NDVO does not carry same language; as if they are customizing each and every letter to whoever they sent. Even the email does not have same contents. Whereas many reported that in one email they were told that forms will be received after 24 hours, there was no such thing in my email.

Anyway, back to the topic, I would suggest you apply through PSK which is the appropriate channel. No need to go to police station/officer. And if he provides PCC in Hindi, then you will have to translate it and notarize.

Follow this link and buy yourself some ease of application and peace of mind.
http://passportindia.gov.in/AppOnlineProject/user/userLogin
create a user account, apply for PCC, make the payment and fix a date for appointment. Do it for yourself as well as spouse.

All the best!
