Applee,

You have to attach certified true copies of degrees and other supporting documents. Follow the CIC's instructions below:

To have a photocopy of a document certified, an authorized person must compare the original document to the photocopy and must print the following on the photocopy:

•“I certify that this is a true copy of the original document”,
•the name of the original document,
•the date of the certification,
•his or her name,
•his or her official position or title, and
•his or her signature.

Who can certify copies?

Persons authorized to certify copies include the following:

In Canada:

•a commissioner of oaths
•a notary public
•a justice of the peace

Outside Canada:

•a judge
•a magistrate
•a notary public
•an officer of a court of justice
•a commissioner authorized to administer oaths in the country in which the person is living
Thanks for the reply Abu. But, In India there are two kinds of notaries, one is stamp and sealed which costs around 120 rupees per paper and the other rubber stamp with signature in green ink which is 20 rupees per paper. From these which should I need for FSWP?

Yes second option is good but you can get the same in 10 Rs per page ;) .... explore a bit in the court area of your city... there are loads notaries sitting for this work for 10 Rs per page. ;D ;D

Congratulations hiopefulval. I want to ask if all the copies of your documents sent to CIC were notarized?

French Nil
family yes

kindly advise on steps to take to submit as soon as possible.......am not here to draw u back but help...thank you.

Obviously timing has to be perfect otherwise it will be useless. I think if CIO accepts Fee Payment Form in this manner, they can accept other forms/supporting documents too if sent under cover letter with valid reasons.

I think that only new Fee payment form can be coupled with the original application which was also reported by Geverok but not any other form/information. Also the timing has to be correct.

I think, as far as being late is concerned, that obviously would never work but being too early should be OK according to me.

....and that too the timing has to be correct. One could be too late or too early.

Ask them to write TRUE COPY or full sentence as advised by CIC. Don't forget to ask them to put date too.

Without IELTS, you aren't eligible to apply. You must appear in IELTS exam or any other acceptable English Language exam and must obtain minimum Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) 7 in each module.

You will have to get your BSc Geology degree assessed by a CIC approved agency such as WES. You will have to attach the original report received from the agency.

After achieving above mentioned milestones, you will be able to calculate if you can get equal to or greater than 67 points.

Before you decide to appear for English Language exam and get your degree assessed by an approved agency, check from NOC 2011 if your job duties and responsibilities are matching with Geological Engineer (NOC 2144) occupation.
