Thats encouraging to know but I don't think this forum has a precedence where an applicant got a decision made update before the Passport request and that makes me apprehensive about the whole thing.

Kate12 & Ptleo both from CPP-O got the status Decision made before PPR, but later they got PPR. Moreover Kate12 also got Visa.

Thank Jigzyy... We are not sure, as I have not received PPR email from CPP-O yet... though Medical n PCC is received timely by CPP-0
Before sending passport, the ECAS shows - DEcision MAde!!! thats why bit worried...

My status changed to ' A decision had been made on your application, CIC will inform you about this'.

I did not receive any PPR from CIC yet. Does anybody have a similar experience? Please let me know.

Excited and Nervous about the decision!!!!!!!!!

See just jumping the gun CONGRATS!!!!! Again this process can be soooo stressful for persons, I am surprised they dont have us do a mental health test too lol lol. We all lose our minds at some point during the process!

Don't attach those form at all.

OK Abu.. will do so.. One more doubt is there.. in some forms eg: Separation Declaration for Minors Travelling to Canada [IMM 5604] and Use of a Representative [IMM 5476] are not applicable to me.. So what should I do? Whether to leave that forms blank or fill it with "Not Applicable".. lead me..

Visiting the forum after almost two weeks. I am just being relocated to United States by my current employer on HIB. I can see lot of new members joining in. Well, a warm welcome to all new comers and congratulations to every one for getting their MR and/or visa.

I know the discussion has already happened on this forum but if someone can just direct me to the page where it was discussed about how to send passport to NDVO for stamping ( I mean what are the legal ways to do it) since I choose NDVO as my visa office while sending the application to CIO, Nova scotia. My main worry is if I send my passport to NDVO is it legal to stay in United States without original passport. I will be in US for around 7 to 8 months and my wife and kid are back in India.
Any help is highly appreciated.

You have to attach certified true copies of degrees and other supporting documents. Follow the CIC's instructions below:

To have a photocopy of a document certified, an authorized person must compare the original document to the photocopy and must print the following on the photocopy:

•“I certify that this is a true copy of the original document”,
•the name of the original document,
•the date of the certification,
•his or her name,
•his or her official position or title, and
•his or her signature.


Who can certify copies?

Persons authorized to certify copies include the following:

In Canada:

•a commissioner of oaths
•a notary public
•a justice of the peace

Outside Canada:

•a judge
•a magistrate
•a notary public
•an officer of a court of justice
•a commissioner authorized to administer oaths in the country in which the person is living

You are right Cnonline.. So that we all can able to move ahead without any confusion..

I have a doubt.. We have to provide all copies of our education and to be Notarized right... Whether the notarization with or with out stamp?
