hiii frnds and senior members,does anybody tell me about the applicatios CIO currently working on..Is CIO is working on oct end files of all NOC's or only some nocs reached october ...My file recvd by CIO on 5th nov its almost been 6 weeks havnt heard anything from CIO,so should I send them a query mail regarding my application or should I wait until this year end.....plzz if anybody could answer..

Dear experts,

I have some queries regarding migration process in Canada for 2014.

I am doing job as a Lead Engineer(Equivalent to Asst. Manager) in MNC.

I would like to apply for for immigration. My details are given below:

1. Age : 30
2. Year of Exp: 5yrs 10 months
3. Education: B.Sc in Computer Science and Engineering from a Reputed engineering university
4. IELTS 6.5(L-6, R-7, W-6, S-7)
5. Spouse IELTS: not given yet
6. Previous Job exp on Software Development and current job is related Software Development and Team management.

On which category can I apply? Which occupation would be suited for me?
I saw that Software Engineer is not accepted.

Can anyone please give me useful information by which I can apply in April, 2014?

One more thing is that the bank solvency should I have to show? Is it mandatory?

What should I have to sent to WES for assessing academic credentials?

When I have to sent it to WES?

Your position does not exactly fall in any categories noted on the NOC structure. But I think there must me some leeway. Check the links below and compare your job duties with the one that you think matches your profile. All the best.

Have some patience Shweta. If you have been following the forum closely and if you read the spreadsheet, you will see that late october applicants and very early november applicants have not been charged. The last reported charge was for Oct 21 and that was last friday. Just keep your fingers crossed and wait.

I received PER email last night (17Dec), it stated that DD charged on 3rd Dec, feeling so happy the whole night and until now... Last two weeks I had been waiting and praying for the news, as I couldn't check with the bank whether DD is encashed or not - the case of many members here.

In my current job my responsibility is same except Team management and my designation is Lead Engineer.

I already talked with a consultant. He suggested me to apply on any of the below two categories:

1. 2147 Computer engineers (except software engineers and designers)(Cap reached)
2. 2174 Computer programmers and interactive media developers(Cap reached)

because

2173 Software engineers and designers this occupation still closed.

But I dont know what should be better for me. I want to apply by myself not by any agent.

I got my application back they said me to submit copy of completed foreign education credential

it means to submit my college certificates? and can I resend this same application(genric forms) to cic or I have to make new application

Alright, so if the Cap is reached, may be they open the same NOC categories next year (who knows?), but if they do, you should be prepared and ready to apply next year.

For that send your Bachelor and your Masters (if you have) degree documents to WES as requested by them, so you have your credential assessment done.

Second you will need to take IELTS exam and get enough score to make you eligible to apply.

Then you can wait for CIC to open up their NOCs.

I was away for quite long. I'm really frustrated by the long waiting without any progress on my application since I received my PER on 27th of August 2013.
My app is supposed to be processed through London visa offcie.
