Hi Guys,

I just sent my documents on 1st Nov to Sydney Canada, at that time for my occupation (Chemical Engineer), CIC website was showing that 45 application are recieved, now it is showing 115 applications are recieved.

I have a question, that what is the procedure which CIC is following to update the no.s on their website, are they counting/updating after making decision on the applications for canadian immigiration or updating counting on CIC webpage based on the application recieved (before CIC make any decision that its successfull or not) .

Now on CIC website its showing 115 application are recieved for the category of Chemical Engineering, i still wonder how come only 115 GEnius wants to move to CAnada? why so low in numbers?


second question is, I haven't recieve anything yet, but DHL said that your document is devlieverd and recieve by some buddy TOM. so now whats the procedure?? i read some of the guys post on this forum and came across a term AOR? what is AOR? pls give me an idea that what is the procedure after applying other then just waiting

CIC updates after making positive decision on the application.
DHL information is right...samething happened to us.
AOR - Acknowledgement of Receipt. once CIC found you r eligible, they will send an email which include your payment details, File number and saying they've transferred ur file to ur local VO..

After applying you've got to wait for their AOR...

Happy to share with you ... as per my consultant I got my MR today .....in ECAS second line is added . We have started processing your application ........ i have checked it ......

Dear Anahus, just hold on tight for next two weeks. I guess the silent VO's will start sending MR within that time. only then they can reach the 9 months estimation.
