Guys i know this is off topic but i have no where else to ask. My brother in law had moved to Canada somewhere in 2011. He had done his bachelors in india and masters(MBA) in Canada which was 1 year study. But after his MBA he started working without applying for a Work Permit or a PR and his student visa expired. He has overstayed since 2011 and now he is trying to apply for a Work Permit or FSW but he is getting rejected each time. He is trying through some lawyers to get PR and they are advising him to try for Ontario PNP since he has lived there since 2011. Is it possible for him to apply for PNP or FSW 2013 or is he in deep trouble since he is not legally staying in Canada. Or maybe he can go back to india and then apply for FSW 2013 or PNP? His employer is willing to give a job offer since he has worked for so many years.

If his employer s willing to sponsor him, then he had better choose that option...
Overstaying s definitely illegal and only Refugees will get PR if they apply...

Mine is 16th May 2013 application. Still my status has not changed. Hoping to see some good news soon. Its been almost 80 days since receiving AOR from NDVO.

one applicant who applied on 09 May from NDVO has got medical request...
I think they will send according to the date order..so u r 16th May applicant...
Hope u l get it in near future..

Got MR...around 11 am today. I think breathing stopped for a while.
I am out of office whole day so please bear with me, I can only post late tonite.
It has come on email and there are 2 emails with attachments.

However, I am not sure how NDVO works, as I am 8th May applicant & there is no change in status nor ECAS status has changed... Forget about FIFO, no other logic is applicable here.. :-\ :-\ :-\ :-\ :-\

You also have the same timelines as I2C have. Kindly check ur ecas status, may be ur status has been updated.. U mite be getting in this week... if u have applied thru consultant.. check with him....

Is someone aware of what procedure CIC follows in processing the PR application. By that i mean do they process all the applications they receive even if the cap is reached for that NOC?

Do they send a PER or NER to the all the applicants?

Cause my application reached them on 1st of july. Have not heard anything from them.

I applied under NOC 1112 for which the cap had reached by end of May.

Please HELP!!

Friends now after AOR Local VO is not working on FIFO basis as background check is totally varies for person to person, as per company of experience, location or whatever they may need different time for each person. what I feel is they might be taking first few cases and processing them. that cases have different MR date as per background check timeline.

Bcoz u need to send the Master degree certificate ( Copy- not original) for verification...not transcript..

I just saw few 15 may applicants got second line on their application status page, but I cant see anything like that.

Don't worry ! Its on the way...may be within this week only there will be a second line in the ECAS for the May - 2nd Week applicants.
