A COMPILATION OF GCMS NOTES OF MI 8 LVO APPLICANTS

Maria_Sal said:
Hi Guys,

I go a reply for the gcms notes which my brother requested from canada.
its a 36 page document. cio in sydney awarded us 74 points...(only 11 points for work experience as our previous work experience letters were not in correct required format)

our file was received and updated in system in London Visa office on 19-Aug.
Last activity update on file was on 29-Aug. GCMS notes were created on 4-Sep.

Cheers and good luck to all who are waiting for that most awaited MR 8)

Well it is a complicated file for sure. 36 pages all CIC languages.
It gives all points calculation detail. overall score. number of outgoing letters to us. tht is ofcourse the PER via e-mail. its mentioned there.

it says that work reference letter has not been verified yet. it says education verified via WES and ielts also verified.
Medical not started yet. criminal records not started yet.
in a number of places of paper file history....the status says 'Open'

Last activity of 29-Aug is on Paper file history....

i see following created dates for paper file history:
- 07-Aug (thts my PER date)
- 12-Aug
-19-Aug
-29-Aug

So, there are 35 pages... and the final result is.. LVO haven't touched it :'(. Which means, 2013 is not their priority (at least 10 days before when GCMS notes were generated).

Here are other findings:
Ministerial Instructions: Met

Assessments:
Eligibility: Not Started - Looks like Local Visa Office haven't re-calculated points.
Security: Not Started
Criminality: Not Started
Medical: Not Started

Last Due Date: 2013/09/28

Points:
Scored 67 >:(. Did not considered Adaptability points for Relative in Canada ( provided documented proof ) + haven't considered Academic IELTS of Spouse. Two Visa Officers assessed the application and both calculated 67 points.

Due Date: 2014/07/09 (My PER date in 2013)

Experience still need to be verified, that section is empty.
Selection, Security, Criminality, Background & Medicals are Pending.

Since arrival (2013/07/22) at LVO, file has been transferred 3 times from one location to another :-\

Anyway, all in all, nothing useful came out of it.

EDIT: I was not able to find Bring Forward Date, so I am considering Due Date is that date for now. Because if it's true, that means, I / We are not going to hear anything for 1 year from LVO. :-X

My GCMS shows several due dates....21-Aug-13, 13-Dec-13 and the date of exact 1 year after PER ... God knows what's all this.... ???

Just received my GCMS notes.

File has been transferred to London.

Processing should begin by 31 January 2014.

Due date for completion of file (security, criminality and medical checks) is 7 August 2014.

So I guess I will hear something from them after the first quarter of next year.

Hi all,

This forum has been very helpful.

I have lost my original degree certificate from my Masters degree, can I instead send copies of my transcripts?

Thanks,

Abhishek

Re: File Update - Transferred to London

Hi Admin

Please update the Excel sheet. File transferred to LVO.

Thanks.

You need to contact the issuing institution to request for a replacement of your Masters certificate. Don't send copies of your transcripts alone.

Dear Seniors ,

Dear Seniors ,

I need an advice regarding the required medical test; my situation is as following :

I already got PER and I am waiting hopefully for MR but I have concern regarding my health history as 2.5 years back I found that I have cancer and I had a surgery and since then I am ok and only do yearly checkups ; I think that if I inform the doctor in the medical test, the VO office will directly reject the application without even look at it and if I conceal this info they might find out once I do my yearly checkup in Canada in case my application get accepted.

please anyone here with some experience who can advise me what to do ?

Thanks

My friend, I understand your concerns. Please don't think I am trying to discourage you. You should understand the realities.

This happened a while ago, may be five years back..I knew one family of three sisters and one brother, all well qualified and experienced applied to CIC for immigrating to Canada. All their applications got approved at the same time within six months. One of the sisters disclosed that she had undergone cancer therapy (Masectomy) during her medical exam. Though she had passed that medical exam in her home country, CIC did not approve her case at the final stage. She could not make it to Canada with her other siblings and stayed back with her mother.

So it is hard to predict what CIC will do when Medical results are reviewd at the final stage especially if one has medical history.
Be positive. If I were in your position "I will hope for the best from CIC and prepare for the worst".

Good luck

Everything gonna be ok.....keep posting...

Dear friends,

I had gone through medical examination today. Its report will be uploaded to CIC within 3-5 days, as panel physician told me. In my case, I found it not so complicated. Sample of urine, blood and chest x-ray is taken and some physical examination is done. They did not confirmed anything to me, just told that they will do required things themselves and will inform me on phone if anything wrong found in investigation. Let's hope everything will come good.

Buddies I send my passport to BJ VO last Friday and find I make a mistake.... My kid's passport will be expired next November. That means even if the visa is issued before this year end, the visa will be expired next nov.
I planned to land to canada during next summer holiday, July or August. However I remember there is saying that if the visa will be expired ( less than 6 months valid) the custom will not allow me to enter even if I hold a valid visa.
Now I only have 2 choice, assuming I got visa this year end.
1, land before next May
2, reapply a new passport for the kid and bring both when landing
I do not prefer first option coz the kid and I do not have time before may.
For option 2, it is ok for Chinese custom to release me, but how about Canadian custom and immigration office? Will there be any problem?
I send this question to VO after PER, but no response at all. After I got PL email I am so happy that I totally forget this issue. Now it is a dilemma to me....
Thx for ur comments...

Please be aware that your Canadian PR visa stamped in your passport, is valid for a "SINGLE ENTRY" only.
Once you enter Canada for the first time, which is called the "Landing Process" for your immigration into Canada, that visa becomes null and void for all practical purposes.
You will submit the two copies of COPR to IO at the port of entry who will give you back one copy and send the other copy to CIC on your behalf for issue of your PR card which is the only document required to prove your Canadian Residency for re-entry in future. You can expect to receive the PR card in 3 months time to the Canadian address you provide at the time of landing. You are a confirmed "PR" when you make the landing.

To make it short, if your kid's passport is valid until Nov 2014, and you are planning to migrate as a family in the summer of 2013, you are just fine. Later you can get your child's passport renewed in the Chinese embassy in Canada before the expiry date. You can show your PR status documents to your embassy for fast renewal.

My papers were received by ACG of CIO... does anyone have the same receiver? As I was encoding my info to our spreadsheet.. i noticed that the person who received my documents was not common.

Dear friends,

One more line has been added in my ECAS status.

1.We received your application for permanent residence on May 13, 2013.

2.We started processing your application on November 20, 2013.

Dear friends, could you please update the sheet with above details.

Thanks.
