Hi all,

Is there a list (or worksheet) that lists the VOs that have so far issued Medical Requests?

Hurry up Sydney! Any guesses as to when Sydney will wake up and start issuing MRs?

Thanks.

Alhamdulillah. Finally I got the PER mail From CIO on 14 Nov 2013. Admin please update.

Dear islandbabe, I have one query. My Credit card which have charged will not valid after 30 Dec 2013 as this card is upgraded by bank and they already issue me new card with new details.
In that case to whom I have to contact for te updation of information means I want to update my credit card new details.

Is that really required after charging or not. Please uide me.

Thanks in advance.

Thank you cnonline for sharing this.

Once your CC is charged for application processing fee, there is no further requirement for the credit card. If you remember, you just filled-in CAD 550 (plus family members fee if applicable) which has already been charged. You will pay later for Permanent Residence fee yourself and visa office is not going to use your credit card information to charge that fee.

No worries brother.

Hello friends and thank you for your good wishes.
I retrieved the passports with immigrant visa (expiring on Oct 19 2014) along with the COPRs from my VO today.
The ECAs finally shows: Decision Made - A decision has been made on your application. The office will contact you concerning this decision.

Best regards and good luck! ;)

Congrats will update the status.

I want to share my conversation with CIC office. Its a guide for london office.
Yesterday I called them to inquire about application status. Agent ask me some verification question and upon inquiry he told me that I filed my application in August 2013 and my VO IS LONDON SO my application process will be completed in 25 months means upto September 2015.

He mentioned the same time period mention on cic website against LVO i.e. 25 months.

Thanks for sharing this. I went for medical on Nov 1, 2013, and i asked the same question to the doctor. He replied that his charges are $200 based on whatever services he is doing like filling out paperwork , uploading pics, paperwork, medical reports to CIC. There are only two things you have to get done from any outpatient center and if you have health insurance, try asking them if they cover the Xray, blood test and Urine test. In my case i was lucky that my insurance covered all these. So i had to pay only $200 to the doctor.

Hope this helps.

I got MR and I was wondering if the insurance can cover the cost. I asked a few members who had already completed their Medical Exam and were charged approx. $400 per person. So I scheduled my medical exam appointment for next week and I was told by the Doctor's office that they do not consult the insurance agency and that I will have to pay all money upfront.

So, I called my insurance agency and asked how can I get reimbursed? Based on the terms of the health insurance you have, you could ask for reimbursement of the amount you paid to the doctor by filling out a claim form and sending insurance agency the claim form including the receipt you got from the Doctor (Check with your insurance agency). Now this does not reimburse you 100%, but it will surely less than $400 per person for sure!

Here is the information I received from Doctor's office:

Will my health insurance cover the expense for this immigration exam?
The immigration service doesn't allow us to bill the insurance directly because this is for immigration purpose rather than routine physical, so we have to charge you up front. We can provide you with letter indicating the services we render and charges for you to pursue further with your insurance company. Few patients get reimbursement from their insurance company, depending on their insurance policy. This would be the same case whoever you choose as DMP for immigration exam and we charge less than other offices for the exam.

So, for those who completed their Medical Exam, see, if your insurance agency will reimburse you. Hope this information helps. I will update my progress on the forum.
