If saying THANKS is a CHIT CHAT, then I really need to grow up :D :D :D.

Anyways, I agreed with you buddy as far as filling of pages are concerned but if someone says congrats to me in open forum, and I can't return it in a better way, then at least it should be the same way. That's how I respect human beings.

Abu - please do not take in the wrong sense. The reason why Joe would have said that is: You can thank your well wishers via a private message to them. What happens is that the "Thanks" messages fill up the forum easily so that for searching any older message we really need to scroll back a lot. By this time atleast a 100+pages would have been filled with Thank yous :)

Did anyone receive an email for passport request from CPP-O office?

1. Any idea, from which email Id this email comes?
2. Approximate in how many days, after MR is received, this email may come? I know it might be different for everyone.
3. I hope, I didn't miss this email in my Inbox.. Is there any CIC phone number, where I can call to get this information?

Hoping to get this last stage done asap.

It will come from the same email "OttPilot-Immigration". lot of people are waiting for PPR from CPPO. There is no minimum/maximum time limit on this. Some people got it in as little as 2-3 days after MR and some have not got it for over a month.

I was happy to hear that this priority was being extended to the Phills, but wonder how many people will be able to take advantage of it? After seeing the devastation how on earth can they find the necessary documentation, let alone a computer and electricity?

This information may be helpful for those who got your Medical Request or are waiting for or have recently completed medical exam living in the USA:

I got MR and I was wondering if the insurance can cover the cost. I asked a few members who had already completed their Medical Exam and were charged approx. $400 per person. So I scheduled my medical exam appointment for next week and I was told by the Doctor's office that they do not consult the insurance agency and that I will have to pay all money upfront.

So, I called my insurance agency and asked how can I get reimbursed? Based on the terms of the health insurance you have, you could ask for reimbursement of the amount you paid to the doctor by filling out a claim form and sending insurance agency the claim form including the receipt you got from the Doctor (Check with your insurance agency). Now this does not reimburse you 100%, but it will surely less than $400 per person for sure!

Here is the information I received from Doctor's office:

Will my health insurance cover the expense for this immigration exam?
The immigration service doesn't allow us to bill the insurance directly because this is for immigration purpose rather than routine physical, so we have to charge you up front. We can provide you with letter indicating the services we render and charges for you to pursue further with your insurance company. Few patients get reimbursement from their insurance company, depending on their insurance policy. This would be the same case whoever you choose as DMP for immigration exam and we charge less than other offices for the exam.

So, for those who completed their Medical Exam, see, if your insurance agency will reimburse you. Hope this information helps. I will update my progress on the forum.
